 I can't say enough about how this gel has helped my skin. I use Retin-A and would sometimes get dry, flaky skin - not a good look. I use this in the evening and then put a Cerave cream over it, and then apply my Retin-A, and my skin is so soft and moisturized in the morning. No more flaking, peeling, or irritation, ever

I learned about hyaluronic acid from Dr. Dray, a legitimate, no-nonsense dermatologist who has an informative YouTube channel. What I learned is that in order for this hyaluronic gel to work properly, it must be applied to freshly washed, wet/damp skin and then a moisturizing lotion or cream must be applied over it to trap the moisture in the skin. It will not work well when applied to dry skin or if a lotion or cream is not applied over it

Game changer if used the right way

 You can use every cream that way but anyway, they're trying to sell it on this is all you need and you know what if you have really oily skin and Don't have any concerns like you don't necessarily need retinoids or brightening or acne treatment You can get away with just using one thing But the older you get the more treatments you want to add in and actives and things like that So they're a little bit overselling it. But anyway, they say enriched with three kinds of hyaluronic acid to improve skin's moisture retention Abilities plus collagen to restore firmness and elasticity and ceramide to infuse moisture so interesting that they're trying to sell it that way, but it's really a gel cream and It will help the skin's moisture retention abilities But if you live in a dry climate have dry skin things like that You're gonna want to use this under something more occlusive because sometimes hyaluronic acid can cause rebound dryness So this isn't the all-in-one thing you're gonna use this one thing and get away with that Unless you have oily skin live in a tropical or a humid climate you can get away with that Most people are not however, this is made in Japan probably more geared towards that Environment and things like that. So where things are manufactured And our target audience does play into products because that's kind of the area they're making it for so, okay Let's get to criteria packaging not a super crazy fan of the jar packaging But to be honest, there's really not a lot of ingredients in here that are easily Degraded with exposure to light and air So I just prefer something else because or at least use a little spatula or something like that. We've got SUSE's, you know polysaccharide Which is a skin conditioning ingredient we've got then we finally have alpha glucan humectant and skin conditioning ingredients So not a crazy exciting ingredient list, but if you use this under a nice occlusive moisturizer This one will help your skin stay hydrated has a nice ceramide in there squalane is a great ingredient as well In terms of animal testing hadalabal is not cruelty free If you're interested, I did a whole list of K&J beauty brands and their cruelty free status Which is not easy to find for a lot of them so I can check that out Okay in terms of performance, this one is gonna be a really nice moisturizer for probably oil your skin types Because you can probably get away with using this without having to apply a very occlusive product over it Especially if you live in a humid environment If you layer it under a thicker cream, it works really nicely give skin a little bit of extra hydration Really nice gel texture feels really nice and hydrating on skin really wonderful kind of plump skin up The other nice thing is it's fungal acne safe

Clearly, I can’t say enough good things about this product. I’m a loyal and unashamed Perfect Gel fangirl! I’ve tried so many moisturizers but this is the ONE

 I don’t care how it looks necessarily, but I dislike having to twist and twist and twist the lid on and off. You have to twist 6 times to remove and close the lid! It’s annoying me for some reason. I switched to this from the Hada Labo Tokyo Skin Plumping Gel Creme. I really like that one too, but it was making me breakout at times. I use tretinoin at night and I also think with my skin being more sensitive from the tret exfoliation that the preservative in the Tokyo was making me more irritated than it normally would.
