 With that flat section in the tip and the tail, it's going to change how this board engages edge to edge, as well as how it floats in powder. This board is available in 154, 157, 159, 162, 157 mid-wide, 159 mid-wide. I rode this board at Arapahoe Basin on a day that started out sunny and warm and suddenly went cloudy and cold with low to high winds, chopped chunder, snow falling, ice, frozen groomers, soft groomers, a little bit of slush at the bottom of the mountain, and I rode it with my Rome black label bindings and my K2 Thraxis boots. This board is on the stiffer side, that's for sure

 It's aggressive. It's lively. It's going to boost off everything that you hit in the park or outside it. Surprisingly, for as stiff as this is, you can actually butter on it

 It gives you that added locked in feel. It's not an aggressive magnetraction, so you don't have to worry about just feeling like you're stuck into a carve. Now here's the thing. It's quick and nimble edge to edge, but it's got power

 If you throw your hip into one of those quick turn initiations, you're going to feel that board G force into that turn. When you really drive your back knee into the center of the board and you're flexing that camber profile and driving it off the tail, you're going to get a ton of power. It's one of those decks that it's quick edge to edge, but it's powerful. And when you're laying it over, you're leaving a trench in your wake and you're going to spring right out of that carve, transition over to the other side and do the same thing

The 2023 Lib Tech TRS Snowboard Review

 It's a board for high speed buttering and high speed gyming. This board is designed for aggressive carving. You'll notice that right away when you get it on edge. You can really drive this board, especially if you load up that rear camber zone and push it into the center reverse

 You're going to feel this board fight you back when you load it up and just pop. It's solid on jumps and transitions. It's definitely a board for hitting the big line, stuff that's 40 plus feet. You could probably ride the super pipe with it if you really wanted to

 This gives you more snap and less play between the feet, basically more pop. That's the way to break down C2X. This board comes in narrow, this board comes in regular, mid-wide. The TRS has one of those flex patterns that lends itself more to being a free ride board than a freestyle board

 This board takes a little bit more to engage. You're going to notice that right away. When you do engage this board, you're going to get some solid snap. It's not one of those boards that's going to send you to the moon, but it's got a solid amount of response to it

The Libtech TRS Snowboard Review

 Hey what up guys, TJ here. It's a snowy overcast day out here in Colorado and today I'm looking at the Lib Tech TRS snowboard. Today's gonna be a little bit different than usual though. I'm gonna head straight all the way to the outback here at Keystone, the furthest you can go in the resort and try to do some cat skiing to see if we can find some powder

 It's a really versatile snowboard. Been doing really well on the powder. It's been fun in the trees. It's been offering some nice pop

 In that crusty icy snow under the powder and the trees as well as on the groomer I could really feel that magnet traction clawing in and digging into that hard pack snow making sure I was feeling really confident and secure and not worried about slipping out at all. It feels really really good. I was also thinking about the flex on that last run so for the TRS I'd say the flex is right around a 6 out of 10. Definitely on the stiffer side of medium it's got some stability to offer

There's still a decent amount of rocker in the profile on this guy so you can lean forward to the end of the rocker and get into a press with minimal effort and then it kind of stiffens up and offers some good stability. Alright two more lifts and then we'll be there

Lib Tech TRS Snowboard Review - Keystone Tree Riding

 It makes you sort of lock in for these more elongated carves than these really deep, hard, aggressive tight carves that spring you right back out. So with that said, you kind of have to pick and choose how you're going to carve with it. Are you going to try to lay a trench and hope that it holds on and doesn't kick you out? Or are you going to go into it and know that it's going to kick you out so you spring out of that turn a little bit more aggressively and then transition over to the other side? I will say, however, that I think that short tight quick carves and medium mellow to mellow hard carves are its real strong suit. So who's this board for? The high end like free ride focused rider, someone that needs a little bit beefier of a board and is going to push it just a little bit harder

 You will notice that it does want to rebound a lot when you flex it. The nice thing about a C3 Camber profile is that it's actually easy to engage. You don't really have to fight it to load it, but when you do load it, you get spring and snap, and that's what this board has. So you load it up, and you notice that rebound, and it's going to pop

 With an overall flex that can best be categorized as just past middle of the road, you get slightly softer tips, and then about halfway to the insert packs, it stiffens up through the middle of the board where you hit the dead center, and there's an okay amount of torsional give. You'll notice that you can twist the board, but overall it's nothing mind-blowing. Now this board is stable to a point. If you go Mach 10 into a fully rutted out terrain, you're going to feel some chatter in the tips and it's going to slightly resonate back underfoot, but if you're on a perfectly groomed run, you're not going to feel shit

 And the same can be said with jibbing. You want to go a little bit faster and press a little bit harder. Nose and tail presses, it locks in, but there's going to be snap and it's going to spring you out. When you get sideways on a feature, the C3 will hug it a little bit, but it doesn't fully clap around it

The 2021 Libtech TRS Snowboard Review

 And it has excellent edge hold. It's just like it has a nice fast base. It's just a great all-mountain ride. I'd love to have this for my pipe board or, you know, just for like riding switch regular around the mountain

 And just super playful board while still being more aggressive than your classic C2BTX, which I really liked. Jimbo. I spent a lot of time filming on the boards this time, so with that being said, I didn't notice much going on underfoot, and I liked that on a board. So I was able to ride switch regular, carve, follow you guys at breakneck speeds, and ride through the trees there at the end

 Just semi-aggressive all-mountain freestyle board. All-mountain freestyle. You can hit some big jumps. You can take this thing into powder if you wanted

 It did really well switch, even though I did feel that the nose was a little bit bigger when I was going switch. But it's got my all-time high speed of 47 miles an hour switch, just like pointing down the mountain, which is really good for me personally. Clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap. One hand clapping

 I would say this board is recommended to somebody who just really has powerful legs but still likes to go ride in the park. So it's not one of those super noodles that you go get in the park and you just can flex it to the max and it's gone bent completely backwards. This is the for the park rider who likes to go just mash, mash on his edges, mash on anything like put it, put his board to the extreme. It's not like that float around and drift around and do some crazy little bendy tricks

 It's got a lot more bend in this zone than it does throughout the whole camber zone. So it's kind of like a I like to call it that hinge style flex where it's going to flex after the inserts more than in the center of the board and it makes sense with all that camber. This is for the rider who is just serious and about getting in the park and just can't handle a board that feels like it has no tip and tail. With this longer effective edge it gives you the impression that there's more tip and tail there than there really is and it just allows for a super comfortable dominant ride in the park for those aggressive riders
