 With this shape and design, Salomon actually adds in something else to the edge. Now this is a 360 wrap standard steel edge, but the unique part about it is that it features a kind of a bite free bite. That means it's just a little bit beveled, so it's less catchy, which is cool. So you still get a good performing board that's less catchy and more advantageous for your snowboarding if you're kind of just getting into it

 Now the feel and flex of the Pulse is going to be about a three, quite a bit softer than your average style board, and you know, even though I say this for beginner to intermediate level riders, if you're an advanced level rider that wants a cheap deck that still performs well, you know, the Pulse is definitely one of those boards. Now you can see the wood core through the top sheet. This is Aspen wood, that's slip to tail, rail to rail, and then there's actually a Biax fiberglass on it too that runs at zero and at 90 degrees. The fiberglass in the Pulse actually allows the board to be torsionally soft, so you can still kind of like steer it with your feet a little bit better, and that's another great thing that makes it so well-rounded for riders who are just kind of like learning to link turns together
