I just got done riding the Salomon Pulse. Beginner board oriented.

>Salomon Pulse (cheapest), Salomon Assassin, Salomon Craft. Get the Craft. The Pulse is a very basic board that won't be a whole lot better than your current setup; and the Assassin is more expensive, and really, too much board for a beginner.

My first board purchase was the 2020 Salomon pulse, it rode great but my top sheet started chipping almost immediately until it sheared after 15 days of riding. It's worth the extra money to get something of higher quality.

My first board was a Salomon Pulse 157 and I'm 6' 1"

Was perfectly fine for me to learn on my first 2 season b4 upgrading to an Arbor Whiskey 160.

Salomon pulse was a lot of fun for me. Light and flexible. Unless you will be riding a lot I suggest renting it though. You will have your own preferences after few trips.

Salomon pulse is a fantastic board. Realistically though since you’re new just focus on getting something that your feet can fit on and isn’t too huge.

I have a Salomon Pulse + Rythm pair that I kinda like, but for my taste it's all a bit too wobbly. I have probably managed to get from beginner to entry intermediate rider by now and am looking for something a bit harder. Certainly cambered and twin. Will use it almost exclusively in resorts, a bit of powdere here and there, no freestyle at all.
