 The upward sound effects can sound tiny at times from both the soundbar and surround speakers. I noticed this specifically with rain. At times it felt like the sound effects weren't placed exactly where the movie intended them to be sometimes everything kind of blended together, but not in a way that most would like. It'S a shame that it didn't entirely live up to my and many other people's expectations, because i actually really like this system

 So all you have to do is plug them into a wall outlet. The subwoofer also has the sheared metal design on the very top, and a very nice cloth material that wraps around it. I'M typically not a big fan of cloth material, that's used with subwoofers, but for some reason i really like this one. The seven inch driver is positioned on the front of the subwoofer and there's a port on the back to reduce pressure inside the enclosure and, of course it also wirelessly connects to the soundbar simply plug it into power

 So if you saw my adobe atmos soundbar comparison, video, you know that i was pretty harsh on this system. The lg sn11 rg definitely fell short of my expectations. I expected to get a heck of a lot more than you get from the system. If you haven't seen that video yet then definitely make sure you check it out after this video link in the description alright, so i originally said that the lg sn11rg didn't make me say wow to myself, while testing it i'm gon na partially retract

 If the ceiling is too high or vaulted, then the upward firing channels are not going to be very noticeable now before we get too far, make sure you guys just boop the like button that helps my channel tremendously and i'd really appreciate it. This system looks great and overall, i'm a big fan of its design.  There's your standard power, volume, and subwoofer controls, but you also have these audio control buttons that are calibrated to different styles of sound. There's cinema, music, news, game standard, and sports. or you can choose auto sound and let the sound bar determine which setting works best for your content. Worth it for me. I bought the HT-Z9F and the X900H bundle last holiday season. Worth the purchase. Also bought the rears and they are game changers. It really add to the immersion.

For what it's worth, I found my Sony TVs speakers to sound better than most other brands I've heard or owned. Philips, LG, other TVs over the years have had hollow, tinny sound. The TV built in speakers are not great by any stretch. But the 800g I have sounds listenable.

I did upgrade to a hts-350. I find it good. Not as loud I would have expected though for the most part. I feel like I have to turn it up higher than I would using my 2.0 setup (Tannoys amped by a Rotel integrated).

X900H -- Is soundbar worth it?

The installation was straighforward and the sound is reasonably good. The TV is a new Sony HD and I expected that the sound bar and the TV would work well together. I read a lot of reviews and was suprised that no one mentions that for most events the voices do not synchronize with the lips. For a lot of shows, its like watching old Japanese movie dubbing

 According to Sony this is normal. This is a definite negative feature of  this sound bar.

Easy installation but disappointing performance

 It also has hdmi arc but I use the optical.  Wish it had better control on the top of the sound bar. I would have enjoyed a better display showing wtf is going on. Not just some small bars of light

 No option for a wired connection to the woofer. Included optical cable. It also has hdmi arc but I use the optical.  Wish it had better control on the top of the sound bar

 If I am listening to some real bass heavy podcast; I either control the bass manually, or use the preset for voice or cinema.  You connect the subwoofer via bluetooth. No option for a wired connection to the woofer. Included optical cable

Don't lose the remote. The top of the speaker has very limited touch options.
