Got this unit around Thanksgiving 2021 and it’s quiet, efficient and clothes are practically dry when finished. 

Overall Points

Front load dryer- huge interior. Once you get the hang of all the controls, it works well scaling to size and drying rates needed.

Wish it was 2”-taller for door to swing over laundry basket. I goofed not to purchase bases…

  Hate the colors are not the same “white” and still have been unable to get corrected.  Talk to Best Buy and they say it is LG and LG says it’s Best Buy, it seems to me a manufacturing error.  Very disappointed in the service on both sides, especially when you pay that much for a product.  I also had purchased the matching pedestals

There are a few more settings than we would typically use, but we love the options and the fact that they are more energy efficient.

You'll never want another washer.

  Large capacity means clothes are less wrinkled. Love steam feature for refreshing clothes. Love that it notifies me when load finished through app and matches cycle to setting used on washer to save me time setting it up each time.

Good dryer.

My suggestion, and I cannot stress this enough, buy the extended warranty from Home Depot/Lowe's/other when you buy this washer. For ~2 yrs, it worked fine, but at some point, the agitator mechanisms will fail and you will find yourself without a functioning washing machine. You'll know this day is coming, because your spouse will ask "Is the washer supposed to sound like that? That doesn't sound quite right."

Also, be sure not to put too much into the washer. That'll cause you fits. And apparently accelerate the inevitable breakdown.

Buy the extended warranty.  Seriously.  Buy it.

The simpler, the better. I would avoid front loading washing machines as they tend to have many more issues with leaks and mold. I've always preferred top loading machines as they tend to have higher capacities and modern ones without an agitator work amazingly well. I have a Maytag high capacity top loader that we got about 3 years ago when we bought the house we are in now, its been a great machine

So if it were me, no questions, go top loader for better capacity and reliability, and keep it as simple as you can.

It takes about 5 minutes for it to start up as it figures out the load and if its too unbalanced it will chime at me and flash that its unbalanced

My house came with a washer and dryer. The washer is speedqueen, found a receipt and it was purchased in 1995. It is top load and still works. I believe it's time to get a modern one ( better washing, energy saver, etc). I was thinking of getting a new speedqueen. I like when things last long. However I am not sure about top or front load.

Reasons I dont like my top load washer
1. Cant put a lot of clothes.
2. I dont feel it washes the clothes good.
3. Uses a lot of water.
4. Its ruining my clothes little by little.

But I also heard bad stories about front load.
1. Mold.
2. Smell
3. Hard to repair
4. Expensive to repair
5. Etc

These things are not cheap to try one every 2/years. Thats why I am need your help. Thanks in advance.

We had this machine for all of three days before the ear-splitting gear-grinding began. Luckily, I thought, I paid for the extended warranty. Silly me. I'd rather strap this machine to my back and walk 13 miles back to Best Buy than have to go through that process again

"Bravos" for Making The Worst Machine In History

 Very disappointed really. Diagnose cost is $98, repair cost is around $880 which I did not agree with it. If you do the math, I bought this around $700 and its only 2-3 years old machine, to repair it it cost me $98 and the repair is $880. What is the point repairing this machine if a brand new is a lot less????? Really this is not a good machine and business
