I bought two, one for myself and a family member. Both had the same issues with the keyboard delay after updating all drivers / software, hence 4 stars. I had to uninstall and reinstall drivers on each computer, so it wasn't necessarily an isolated incident, hence 4 stars.

 But for the size, it's not that noticeable. As far as I can tell, it's an IPS panel, which is fine but not stellar.

For the price, the X12 is a solid competitor to Windows Surface and clones. Bought on sale, it becomes the top pick. Alternatively, bought at full price, X12 becomes a bad deal relative to competition.

The Core i5-1130G7 in my test unit offers the various amenities of the 11th Gen line, including Intel’s powerful Xe integrated graphics and support for Thunderbolt 4 and Wi-Fi 6. Using it was a good, smooth experience: I can’t imagine that anyone using the X12 for standard business work with Chrome tabs, streaming, Zoom calls, and the like will encounter any performance issues. The ThinkPad’s fan was consistently running during my use, but it wasn’t loud enough to be bothersome, and the device never heated up.  

 With the screen around 200 nits of brightness, using the X12 as my daily driver for Chrome tabs, Spotify streaming, Zoom calls, and the like, I averaged around seven hours and 50 minutes to a charge. This is right around what my colleague Tom Warren got out of the Surface Pro 7 Plus, and it means you’ll get close to a full day out of the X12 if your workload is similar to mine.   

99 and $97.49 to the price. That means my X12 model is actually a couple hundred bucks less expensive than the most comparable Surface Pro (which also has less storage).   

The X12 Detachable has a fairly small 42Wh battery. So I was pleasantly surprised to see how long it lasted — especially since the X1 Fold, the last ThinkPad-branded tablet I reviewed, averaged under five hours to a charge. With the screen around 200 nits of brightness, using the X12 as my daily driver for Chrome tabs, Spotify streaming, Zoom calls, and the like, I averaged around seven hours and 50 minutes to a charge. A convertible laptop for ThinkPad fans

7 pounds (760 grams) alone or about 2.5 pounds with the keyboard and pen. Nonetheless, that's lighter than most laptops and it's built to meet 12 Mil-Spec standards.

My Core i5 configuration performed on par with clamshells and convertible two-in-ones with comparable components. It is a step behind 11th-gen Core i7 laptops we've tested, though honestly not by much. If you want a little extra performance or longevity insurance, it would be worth going up to the i7. For everyday office, school or field use, the i5 with 16GB of memory should keep your work zipping along

Given how slim the tablet is and the components inside, I was surprised I was able to get a battery life of 9 hours, 23 minutes from the ThinkPad X12. That's just about an hour shy of Lenovo's battery life claim and it's possible that was with a lower-end Core i3 configuration.

6" 1.11KG at best buy for $977 (it's an open box version) it has the 16GB of RAM that you need. Now that the weight has be addressed I'll tell you what I personally recommend.

I currently bought for \~100eur an asus 210ma, it works well for browsing and some coding. I love this laptop a lot however my slight issue is that I just want more ram to fit all my needs. The RAM is soldered, unfortunately, but I could upgrade it with m2 SSD.  


Assuming budget would not matter, I would just like a simple laptop with a screen size between 11-14'(without touchscreen, smart camera features, or fingerprint.. if there is none like this I will take one with these features...), more than 8 GB RAM, I don't really care about CPU but preferably a quad core, to be around that 1kg weight

Under 1kg laptop, more than 8GB RAM

 But the performance, especially the multi-core won't be as good as some of its competition, specifically the 9i from the Yoga line and Lenovo's line that I showed you, that had double the performance and that's because it had a better thermal envelope. Now no 120Hz option in terms of this display, no USB-A port, no HDMI port for that matter, so really there are some things that they need to improve on the next generation. But overall if you're looking for a sleek, portable, stunning looking laptop with a gorgeous full HD super AMOLED display, this may be your ticket. So what do you think about the Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360? Well first thing I would do is have them shorten the name, getting tired of having to try to say it correctly

 I did show some multi-core performance on that and I think that's the one you want to go with. So with that, it also gives you a bigger screen in terms of that screen real estate, but it also gives you the numpad. So if you're going to crunch numbers and those that want that, that might be the one to go with. But as far as this 13 inch one that we have here today, unless you're doing a lot of traveling and you don't need that extra performance, I would steer towards that bigger one, which is not that much heavier, but gives you better performance due to its thermal envelope

 I would step up to the model above that which will give you 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage and that comes in at $1549.99. These are not cheap. You are definitely paying a premium here

 A little bit disappointing, they got left behind in that regard. Improved webcam here, full HD 1080p, you have a lot of effects you could do, blurred background, you could change the color, I like the options they give you there and I'm really digging this burgundy finish on it. It's a really nice look to it, it gives it a nice classy look, something a little bit different that we don't normally see. Now as far as this 12th Gen processor performance as I mentioned it's the Core i7 1260p, it's got its 12 cores, 4 performance cores, 8 efficiency cores, worked okay for everyday use, Microsoft Office, email, web browsing, you'll be fine even with that 13 inch model

 It is absolutely gorgeous with its beautiful all aluminum metal design.

 It's got a full HD Super AMOLED display 13.3 inches but you can also get it in a 15.6 inch
