Bought these as an early season hunting boot for the CO mountains. 55 miles in 5 days on Rocky Mountain terrain. Boots held up very well and I did not have any hot spots or soreness. Almost no break in period

 So you can see these little mobile wings here now. This is their active support, so what it basically does is it adjusts to the volume in the shoe um and you get this sort of diagonal support through the boot itself. So when you do your laces up nice and tight, it pulls your heel right into the back of the boot and then the really snug and comfortable fit around the cuff ensures that you get as little movement as possible, which means that you don't get any blisters In the back, which is really important, so the cuff itself, then, is a little bit padded um. But as i found yesterday, it was so so comfortable

I used the Salomon size guide and it told me to get a 12 (wide), and it is too narrow. for your reference I wear 12 (4E) running shoes. other than that it is made very nicely. but it's a no for me
