 This cot that this is on is not included. It's something that we have on our website, but it is sold separately. The idea is you can roll this entire thing up. It's got a pad inside of it which I'm going to show you in a second and you simply roll it up since it's closed and you're on your way so it's watertight

 But one of the nice things about this is that there's a screen so you can zip this and you can zip it back all the way to the bottom. But for most of the night until I started to feel a couple of raindrops, this is what I had look up at the stars, get a decent breeze.   3. Strength needed to erect the side poles. Like I stated above, the side poles do take some strength to get into position. Two adults working together shouldn't have a problem, but it can be a bit of a chore

 If I was a 5' 7" person, I would see how a 4 man dome would have been a great option for my son and I for our vacation.  Cons  1. Heavy: This tent and poles do weigh a lot. I bought this tent specifically for car camping

 Space: I can stand up easily in this tent. On our trip there was only two of us, but our gear included two camping cots (mine is an oversized Cabelas guide cot) and luggage. We had tons of room. I think the fact that you don't have to crawl in on your hands and knees is a huge plus for those of us who are over the height of 6 ft

 If one side is pulled or tighter than the other you won’t see it till you are pulling the tent up then you will have to unbolt and take tension off.  So, for the price of the tent I don’t want any cons. Yes people love it and people camp in different locations with different terrain and weather, but having ti buy stakes with a tent that costs this much and is reliant on every stake in order to stay up was not worth the money for me. Ended up going with another brand and I was much happier

 Other camper's were impressed that I had this tent, it's so fancy, my friends even joked saying it looked like a ski chalet. All the other tents around were wrinkled but this tent was taut and sturdy. Overall this tent will not only impress but excels at being a shelter for camping. Worth every penny!

I'm 6' 1'' 220lbs and as a fellow side sleeper do not recommend the neo air xlite. I bought one because I was told it was the best for taller people but it's a very uncomfortable and narrow pad imo. If weight isn't a huge issue I would go for something heavier and rectangle in shape so it gives you more room for better sleep.

Help me choose some equipment for Glacier NP in Aug

4r vs 4.2r of the “regular” Neoair xlite both of those are 12oz. And the xmid seems like best bang for the buck as far as tents go. I have a duplex and a tarp  but the price difference between a 2p xmid and duplex is pretty significant

 It was on sale on Amazon so I ordered it. Immediately after opening the box I was shocked how long and narrow this pad is (as compared to my previous Klymit V2 sleeping pad). I went online and saw that Thermarest NeoAir XLite is listed as 20 inches wide while my Klymit pad was 25inches. That's a whole 5 inches narrower and I knew immediately I might have issues with that

On the contrary, NeoAir XLite is super comfortable! My issue is that it takes quite a few breaths to inflate but I learned quickly that you don't need to inflate it more than halfway as your weight will distribute evenly

 Just to be clear, I am a stomach/side sleeper with one leg slightly raised, which makes my body width well beyond this mat and I would sleep with half of my leg off the mat if I wanted to position myself comfortably, and hence, touch the ground through the night. It wasn't much of an issue in summer, but I know I would be freezing in colder conditions. Because the mat is so narrow, it doesn't work for me. I wish it was 3-5 inches wider
