It's a lifesaver for the colossally stupid among us who can't nail anything to the wall without taking out a forefinger and thumb.

The smallest 5" would likely be getting too small and while the 7" or similar I am sure would be a good jack of all trades these work best when used in the middle of their range as opposed to the very ends. In summary I would say get the Ergo style grip for 7" and smaller sizes and regular grip for the larger sizes.

The original has very long and thin jaws, perfect for electrical work. The replacement with its short stubby jaws cannot perform anywhere near the original. Almost three weeks ago, I made two phone calls to Stanley customer service. The representatives promised to respond quickly, once they had spoken to product management

The last con is that these pliers weight more then i would like, i only need a max opening of 7/8" so the smallest lightest plier wrench will work, but i need high leverage and the smallest wrench is to short to use the 7/8" size especially when the last person over torqued the nut. but i might end up buying one anyway and customizing it to be longer and have a lanyard hole

These are simply too big & bulky for my piano tech case. Haven't used them for this reason & am looking to sell.
