Klipsch Cinema 400 vs Vmai 2.1 Channel Sound Bar

My TV's HDMI port was occupied by chromecast, which forced me to go look for an optical cable (about $20, not included) and you need to look carefully to get the right kind. (I think there is one w/different end designs, and this one needs the same socket at each end. I did easily find one a Walmart.) Switching between the tv, or bluetooth is easy once you find it

The optical digital connection did not work even though I had carefully adjusted the television sound settings in accordance with the supplied manual. The resulting sound was a high pitched screech. The input cables were detached and reinstalled but the result was the same. Rather than contacting the seller, I decided to try the HDMI (ARC) input

That requires a reset to fix which is hard to do if the top of the bar is flush with the bottom of the TV. When it works properly it sounds great on surround mode but you will need to do frequent resets. Also, forgot to mention that the remote also stopped working but worked again after a factory reset. Really needs better firmware

Remote died a few months after purchase. I notified them and they sent a new remote free of charge the next day
