 If you're interested in understanding the differences between sound bars and sound systems, check out this video I did with Dts on them. [Music] You.

 Coming in at just under three inches tall, The Cinema 400 is designed to be unobtrusive on your entertainment stand and take up very little space on a wall. If you decide to utilize the mounting kit that comes with it, reflex subwoofer that accompanies the sound bar is eight inches in diameter and packs a pretty decent little punch. Don't worry about it being wireless. not only does this enhance the convenience of setup and decrease the wire clutter, but Clips provides great signal to it to ensure you're getting some good thumbs out of it

 The downside to this is that there's no Dts built-in decoding, so unfortunately, if you're a massive Dts fan, you're not going to get the full Dts codec treatment from this unit. The Cinema 400 does come with this nice little remote that you can use for it, or you can be more traditional and press on the light up buttons on the top right of the bar itself. The remote does allow you to go into some settings that adjust a couple of things like the listening modes, input selection, and base level independently. One of the listening modes Clip outfits this thing with is a dialog mode

So if you're looking for a soundbar specifically to enhance audio dialogue, then I suggest this mode

 My TV's HDMI port was occupied by chromecast, which forced me to go look for an optical cable (about $20, not included) and you need to look carefully to get the right kind. (I think there is one w/different end designs, and this one needs the same socket at each end. I did easily find one a Walmart.)  Switching between the tv, or bluetooth is easy once you find it

 It was on sale, and I bit. The sub woofer is very good. Large (and larger than the sound bar itself might deserve) and very good sounding.  The bar itself is a bit tinny and there are no controls to equalize the sound

 That requires a reset to fix which is hard to do if the top of the bar is flush with the bottom of the TV. When it works properly it sounds great on surround mode but you will need to do frequent resets. Also, forgot to mention that the remote also stopped working but worked again after a factory reset. Really needs better firmware

 The bar turns itself on by itself. Based on other reviews Klipsch is blaming it on the TV but my JBL never did that. Also, getting a loud crackle when turning off (until it turns itself back on). And finally, the second wired sub makes noises when the bar is supposedly off

 The two horns add a brightness and clarity to the sound. It makes dialog easier to understand. The bass is also very good though I'm running two subwoofers (one wired and the wireless one)0. Needless to say I have plenty of bass and the included sub is plenty strong and adjustable for sound output

Better than average

 It's easy to install, way bigger than I thought (which is good) and looks great. The features on the remote lets you adjust the sound for what you're watching. You want BOOM like a movie theater? You got it. You want the surround sound feel? You got it

 You want good, crisp audio but don't want it too crazy because people are asleep? You can do that too. My only beef is if your watching a movie in the dark, you can't see the which features on the remote you've turned off or on. I wished it showed an icon on the screen for a few seconds.

 I am glad I did, because the many of the other brands I tried in the same price all had severely underwhelming bass and much muddier upper mids and treble.  Vizio V and M series 2.1 and 5.1 are the closest to this in price and are actual a lot cheaper, so they're the main comparison

Earlier this year I bought a TCL 5 series TV.  I've tried three different soundbars (TCL Alto 6+, TCL Alto 8i, and now Hisense HS218) and all of them cause lag on my Switch and PS4. Once connected the sound bar is controlled with the TV remote - it turns on and off automatically when you turn the TV on or off , volume up and down, etc. - I literally did not put the batteries in the sound bar remote until day 2 when I wanted to pair it with my phone to stream music.

  Finally, my big screen has the Roku TV built-in and this model is designed to work with my TV.  The sound bar will work great for any TV, but if you have one with the Roku TV built-in, then this feature is a must, since set up was so easy - just connect the HDMI cable (included!!!) from the sound bar to the TV, plug in the sound bar, and turn on the TV.  The TV instantly recognized that the new sound bar was connected and ran through a quick self-setup.
