 Some of my favorite features on this dishwasher include the fact that it has one of the largest third racks in the industry and this particular model. You have the options to use just the top two racks, instead of using all three to save you time, energy and water. So one of the best features about this dishwasher is the third rack, like i said before, it is one of the largest third racks in the entire industry, and it has its own jets. So you don't have to worry about having stuff down on your second rack

 So you do have the third rack that you were able to put cups and bowls in the top and anything that you desire. But what makes this dishwasher a step above the rest is the fact that you can use just the top two racks that is going to give you the ability to save water and energy. People always ask me what the point of this is it's, so it won't conflict with your other hot water demands like taking a shower or washing your laundry. Issue: We used the dishwasher that night and it leaked. I called Costco concierge service and they said they will get in touch with me to schedule an install check but never did. I had to call them back because they never called me. So 3 days later I called them back again to get an install check

  If you decide to wait on hold (I eventually had to do that in order to speak to someone), you may wait over two hours WHICH IS WHAT I HAD TO DO.  I was emailed a delivery time range but the maximum provided proved half the real wait.  And in the end, after being promised by three different Costco appliance people that my order included installation or I could get someone to do it for me and Costco would reimburse me, Costco only paid $150 which was well short of the actual installation cost.

Costco's Installation Service is Dismal

Got a warranty repair visit - the theory is that a part is going bad related to the drain.

But, here's the kicker- the part is on backorder so i have to wait (who knows how long) for a part to be available.

Was happy for first 9 months

  AND there is a completely abnormal sound issue with this model that the manufacturer deems "normal":  the Diverter & Stem sleeve make a grinding/scraping noise at what I consider to be unacceptable noise levels.  The mechanic came to fix it and basically said "yep, most kitchen aid units have this problem which the manufacturer says is "normal"".

Buyer beware of "normal" noise!

Initially wanted a Bosch, but the sale and added warranty on the KitchenAid were too good to pass up.

Our old bucket of bolts Kenmore broke, and we've been gifted $1100 to go get a new one.

Unfortunately reality caught up with me that every dishwasher brand has some fatal flaw, but Bosch and Miele seem the overall "best" in terms of reliability, and doing.. dishwashing. Kitchen Aid, GE, and Samsung seem a pick your poison situation.

And the cherry on top is our local Home Depot, Lowe's, and Best Buy won't have any Bosch's in until March 2022.

 Any alternatives? are the others *really* that bad? In the U.S.

EDIT: Kept checking at home depot and they had a Bosch 500 series in the warehouse, coming in a week. I can finally sleep well at night awaiting my dishwasher knowing the day of hand cramps are over.

Obviously, you can see my fingers smudging on this appliance, but basically, all that you need to get rid of this is just water and cloth. Usually, if you uh get anything, that's the stainless steel and you don't if you did, that it would smudge even more. So that's what it means by print shield doesn't mean that it's not going to reveal any prints, but basically it's easy, clean up and you can get rid of that super easy
