Best Stand Mixers of 2022 - GearLab

  I really didn't expect to be using it all that much, but figured we would be glad to have it for the occasions where we needed a stand mixer. Well, I was quite wrong. I would say we use it at least once per week and are more inspired to try new things because of its performance and ease of use. Not only do I use the mixer more than expected, I also find myself researching and making more scratch recipes even when the mixer is not needed

 Just sounds a little unnerving. The more powerful bowl lift model may be a better choice if you are heavy into bread kneading, But we couldn't justify the cost for our use. If I start making breads by the gross, we'll upgrade.  Overall, we are very happy with our KitchenAid and expect to get good use from it for the long haul

 I would say we use it at least once per week and are more inspired to try new things because of its performance and ease of use. Not only do I use the mixer more than expected, I also find myself researching and making more scratch recipes even when the mixer is not needed. This machine has inspired the Julia in me. My first adventure was making butter

 So we're going to be doing this in small/\s/amounts I'm going to pour a little bit in and/\s/ let it actually mix before we add all of/\s/it So add a little bit and let that combine. Add a little bit more, a little bit higher. now. So I'm just going to take my spatula so they are done as you can see/\s/from that little whip on the top of/\s/ the meringue

 Um, so yeah, it's 300 watts. It's got 10/\s/ different speeds which I'll show you it doesn't/\s/go as slow as some other machines. but luckily/\s/ I don't need it to go very slow and all of my/\s/brownie mixes I do by hand because I like to do it/\s/ with a spatula because then I find that it doesn't/\s/add too much air into the mix and the bowl um size/\s/ is 4.8 liters which I think is the same

 so as you can see on there, it's very fluffy. So/\s/we went up to speed 10 with that and it works/\s/ perfectly for meringues so that is not coming off/\s/of that whisk which shows how stiff it's made them/\s/ which is good. So we've got two egg whites in there/\s/so I'm going to be adding 60 grams of caster sugar/\s/ so I'm just going to weigh that out and then we're/\s/going to be adding that in. So I've got my caster/\s/ sugar here

 all of/\s/these attachments. These are all metal. so/\s/ as you can hear, and then this is a silicone edge/\s/so it means that they're unlikely to break some/\s/ attachments can be plastic and when you're using/\s/them every day, it's just going to break off. So to/\s/ actually put the machine down

hey guys welcome back so i after being requested 
so many times i'm finally filming the kitchenaid  

review so quite a few of you have asked for this 
i was gonna do it on sunday but i didn't get the  

chance so it's now going up today um so i'm gonna 
go through the mixer that i've got i've just got  

the details on my phone of where i got it from 
pricing and everything so i'm gonna go through  

that first and then we're gonna start the actual 
review so we're making three different things  

we're making meringues cupcakes and cookie batter 
it's like sugar cookie batter and it just shows  

you the speed that it goes at so we'll go through 
that with the meringues and then with the cupcakes  

it just shows you how well it combines all the 
ingredients because that's a recipe where you put  

everything in the bowl at the same time you don't 
mix them all separately and then the cookie dough  

shows you how well it works with dough we're not 
going to be using the dough hook just because i  

don't want to be making any bread um but i 
will be able to tell you a bit more about it so  

the machine that i got i'll put it on the screen 
here is the kitchenaid artisan and it is the stand  

mixer and i got it in milkshake so it's kind of 
like a off-white gray and mine was 499 499 pounds  

um and i got mine from curry's pc world so i 
actually got a bit of a deal because the place  

that i used to work at used to get 10 off so i got 
49 pounds off but usually it is almost 500 pounds  

and it's a 300 watt mixer and it's all metal so 
it can be lower wattage if you're getting so you  

might notice with some of the plastic ones that 
you get on amazon the reason they're like 2000  

watts or a thousand watts is because they're made 
out of plastic so it takes a lot more to actually  

make it work because all the inside components are 
made out of plastic whereas all of this is metal  

that's why it's a bit heavier because everything 
is metal um so yeah it's 300 watts it's got 10  

different speeds which i'll show you it doesn't 
go as slow as some other machines but luckily  

i don't need it to go very slow and all of my 
brownie mixes i do by hand because i like to do it  

with a spatula because then i find that it doesn't 
add too much air into the mix and the bowl um size  

is 4.8 liters which i think is the same um it's 
4.7 quarts i think it is um so this is the bowl  

that i've got it's just a stainless steel bowl 
you can get glass bowls but we'll talk about that  

a bit more when we're mixing glass bowls are 
basically very heavy and if you're wanting to  

get your mix out of here with one hand and then 
pour it into another bowl it's going to be very  

heavy for you to use and they're also louder 
they make a lot more noise you don't want to be  

dropping a glass bowl because as soon as you drop 
it on the kitchen floor this one would just bounce  

back but you drop a glass bowl and it's completely 
smashed and i think they're about 60 pounds from  

kitchenaid so it's quite expensive if you drop one 
and then you need to buy a new one so they do do  

a mini kitchenaid which i think the bowl size is 
3.5 quarts which it makes a surprising difference  

from what i've heard you can't fit a full batter 
mix so whether that's cupcakes a cake i can fit  

four layers of cake mix in here at one time and 
it doesn't struggle whereas if you try to do that  

and the mini it would definitely struggle so yes 
those are all the details about it i'm just going  

to show you the attachments that you get with it i 
actually have an extra one so these are the three
