The blade is large enough and 'beefy' enough to take everyday use. The only thing I wish was designed different is that it has a frame lock, that requires one to push it to the side (and thus putting a finger in the path of the blade) when folding. Lots of flipper knives are like this, but I consider it to be a design error. This is somewhat mitigated by the fact that the blade does not swing too freely when being closed
