 This bike is actually ideal for someone who needs a lightweight E-bike It doesn't have the most powerful motor, but you gain the advantage of having a bike that's only 36 pounds. So if you're the kind of person who has to carry your bike up and down stairs, so maybe you live in an apartment and you want to get around town on an E-bike but you got to hoist the thing up some stairs, this is a great option. So 36 pounds that's about the weight of an enduro mountain bike. Also, it's a good E-bike for someone who wants simplicity

 and you don't want to use one of those ramps that you can put on your bike rack. So 36 pounds easily, you can lift it up on a bike rack. Now, some other E-bikes like The Breeze and other E-bikes that I've ridden, they're pushing 60 to 65 pounds, so at 36 pounds again, you can move this thing around pretty easily. Finally, I think this bike is good for someone who doesn't need a ton of pedal assist

 Right now they have the Hurricane, they have the Breeze which I'll be reviewing pretty soon, and then the breeze step through and so this one is their lowest price one. KBO Hurricane Commuter e-bike Final Review

 A bike like this is no cruiser. There's not going to be as comfortable as a cruiser, but it's going to be a lot more efficient. And things such as the amount of spacers here, the positive sweep stem, and a little bit softer saddle all add up into a bike that will allow you to handle at high speeds very efficiently. From point A to point B, this bike is very fast and efficient

 The welds are very low profile and when you're riding the bike, it feels very well put together below you. Yes, this bike doesn't have as much power as some of the others, but I think that's okay. Not every E-bike has to be the blow your face off levels of power type of E-bike Some E-bikes can show you what they're made of with a little less power and a little lighter weight design. This is one thing that I really like that Kbo is doing

 For one, that 610 millimeter alloy bar is awesome. I love having a straight bar on my road bikes. For me, it's great to move in and out of traffic, bob and weave in between alleyways, and just have a very fast-paced aggressive ride. That bike is great for that and it's also great looking

 I was hovering around 15.1 miles per hour average speed when I was in my highest pedal assist level. Overall, I hovered around 18.6 miles per hour on average, which is very admirable considering the fact this bike tops out at 20

KBO Hurricane Review | City E-Bike (2021)

 The acceleration is pretty slow. It feels like I'm doing most the work until I hit about 12 to 13 miles per hour. then the motor takes over. I found it took about two to three blocks on a flat trail to reach the top speed

 To change mode to press the right button and to turn the headlight on, double press the left one. The Stealth has a range of 18 to 53 miles, which is one of the bigger spreads I've seen on the highest mode. Through some flat and smooth trails, I was able to reach just under 19, so I was within the range rating. Now, the area I chose to do the range test was on one of the flattest spots in the valley

The Nakto City 26-inch Cargo impressed our testers with its distance range, comfort, and wealth of valuable features. This step-through cruiser-style bike is easy to mount and dismount and has a comfortable, upright, seated body position. The 250W rear hub motor quickly gets this bike up to its top throttle and pedal-assisted speed of 20mph on flat terrain. The 360Wh battery is easily removable for charging and helped this bike be one of the top performers in our distance range testing. Its ride quality was generally calm and collected with smooth, predictable handling and good stability at speed. We also loved that it came with user-friendly features like fenders, a headlight, an electric horn, a covered basket, and a rear cargo rack. We feel the cargo-carrying capabilities make this bike a fantastic option for trips to the market, post office, or to and from the office.
While we loved the wealth of features, it made assembling the Nakto a little more involved and time-consuming than most. It wasn't difficult by any means, but it took an hour to complete the process. We were also a little underwhelmed by this bike's pedal-assist system. Not only were the display and controls quite basic, but it only has one pedal assist level. It works; it's just a little less sophisticated than some of the other bikes we tested. That said, we still feel this is a quality, comfortable e-bike with a great range and cargo capacity.

 It'S really just overkill. So that's another reason why they could save money or you could save money really by buying this bike by getting a little slightly lower voltage battery. But, like i said, the acceleration is very good on this bike and it will do 20 miles an hour right out of the box. You can you can go into the menus and change

 I spent a good month checking out e-bikes in fine detail before going with this one, and i guess, if you kind of want the short version of it, i'm extremely happy with it and i highly recommend it. So why do i say that several reasons actually first thing: i want to talk about and kind of the most important thing on an e-bike is the battery and the motor. Those are the two by far most expensive things to replace if anything goes wrong with them and those two things really determine the functionality, the performance and just the overall, how good the e-bike is. First, let's talk about the motor it's 250 watts, which is not the most powerful in the world

 The only thing you need to put on is the front tire and the handlebars, which is extremely easy to do and will take you probably 15 minutes, tops next thing. The shimano gear system on this bike, or rather the gear system on this bike, is a shimano which is good because shimano make really good gears and hubs and shifters now, it's obviously not their highest end shimano gear set, but it's a pretty dang good one. Nonetheless, and for the purposes of this bike, which is not made for off-road use, it will handle anything you're going to throw at it 100 percent. As far as the brakes go, it does have v brakes on the front and rear you're, not getting um disc brakes with this bike, however, for city riding disc brakes just weigh more they're a more complicated system and they're more expensive to put on the bike

 So you really don't need them to be honest with you, these this bike does stop very quickly and since disc brakes really don't make a big difference unless you were to get hydraulic disc brakes, most bikes that come with disc brakes will have mechanical disc brakes, and It really doesn't stop much quicker mechanical disc brakes versus a standard v brake. It'S only when you get into hydraulic disc brakes that you really notice a difference and there's no way you're going to get a bike at this price with hydraulic disc brakes on it. But, like i said for city riding street riding, this thing stops exceptionally fast. You wouldn't need anything more than it

 I guess you're not getting a lot of extras here for 599 bucks, [, Music ]. On the electrical side, the bike is rocking a 250 watt rear hub motor. That gets it up to just shy of 20 miles an hour or 32 km/h, though the pole is strong enough and the hill climbing is decent enough that I suspect it's actually closer to a 350 watt motor. I still had to pedal some on hills to keep my speed up, but that's pretty standard with 350 watt drives
