I love the sleek design of the case, and it is incredibly effective at keeping the pi cool. I use mine for remote work and regularly run into issues with overheating but this case keeps the operating temperatures a few degrees above room temp.  The only issue I have with this case is that a few days ago one of the fans started to rattle loudly, I have had to unplug the fans entirely as the noise was distracting. However even without the fans running the case still has some impressive passive cooling

 Tighten these down nice and snug as this will ensure constant contact between the case and the CPU/GPU.  3. Now take your two fans and ensure that the square and flat side of the fans is down against the case. Put in your 8 tiny screws

 don't go too crazy with the torgue here as these are just thin plastic. Now let's take a look at our pins. Hold the Pi and look at it with the pins on the right and the USB ports facing down. You will see two rows of pins, left and right

 Now for the good stuff, the buttons are great, the screen quality is great, and the attention to detail in replicating a gameboy is fantastic. I would buy this again but I would wait until they assembly process improved more. I will be giving this to my kid who could care less about the build quality and buying one for me six months to a year later when quality is more consistent. I always planned on buying two, I’m just going to wait on the second one now

 It is quite difficult to show this warping in a photo and may not cause a problem especially if you install the cartridge assembly and leave it in permanently. I received one of the first production run so quality and fit should improve over time, but the warping of the connection point will not until they thicken the plastic of the connector to improve rigidness and the d pad will rotate until they shrink the cutout or add an anti rotation notch. Now for the good stuff, the buttons are great, the screen quality is great, and the attention to detail in replicating a gameboy is fantastic. I would buy this again but I would wait until they assembly process improved more

 The fit and finish of the unit I got was off slightly. The factory installed case screws were stripped at the bottom edge and the photo shows the remaining uneven gap after forcing it closed. The unit was definitely hand assembled which is perfectly fine but may lead to fit issues and inconsistent quality. The on and off switch has slight clearance issues with the cartridge lock mechanism as well

Product may arrive damaged but it is still fun

 Of course there are exceptions but the games you play need to be suitable for the control system. We tested games for the Game Boy Advance, NES and PC Engine and found all of them performed well. While failing in many similar systems we found the game controls responsive and that's pretty much what you need isn't it?  has been mixed to say the least so what does the retro flag G-Pi case bring to the table?

 In the box you'll find a useful double-ended screwdriver, USB power cable, two sets of screws,

 a heat sink, a cartridge component and the Game Boy like handheld console.

 Apart from the legend retro flag G-Pi case, two additional buttons on the front and two trigger

 buttons on the back, it's indistinguishable from the classic Nintendo device. As mentioned

 the G-Pi case requires a Raspberry Pi Zero which is not included in the box rather than a standard

 Raspberry Pi 3 or 4. This half-sized PCB is placed into the cartridge where it connects

 via pogo pins to an adapter board. A small door is provided for micro SD card access

 and the cartridge once screwed together slots into the G-Pi case and is locked in place when

 the unit is powered on. Two versions of the Pi Zero are compatible, the original model and the

 later wi-fi enabled Pi Zero W. Note that the Pi Zero WH which ships with the GPIO pins is

 incompatible with this case unless you remove the pins with a soldering iron that is. That possibility

 via the retro flag website. Of these we tested Lacquer and Supreme Retro Gaming. Lacquer features

 a slim down front end which can be customized but is lightweight and easy to use. In contrast

 Supreme Retro Gaming is a huge 5 gigabyte download and comes pre-loaded with gaming packs.

 Additional downloads for the G-Pi case are available that enhance compatibility. A patch

 is required for Recalbox and Retro Pi that ensures video is sent through the GPIO as those systems

 rely on HDMI by default. Meanwhile there is also a script for safe shutdown and reset which can be

 added if you wish to use the safe shutdown feature. The switch to enable this is found in the battery

 compartment. There's also a micro USB data port for firmware updates. There's also a micro USB

 hardware upgrade. Requiring three AA batteries the G-Pi case will give you around three hours

 playtime although this will of course depend on the emulator and the chosen retro platform.

 Battery life is further impacted by brightness and volume although adjusting wheels are provided.

 There's also a headphone out for the modest stereo sound. You can power the G-Pi over USB but this
