 At your size you probably want the 164, which has a 278 mm waist which is WIDE. Speaking from experience with a size 10 foot, the CR's doable but lot of board to move around.

Hello expert snowboarders! 

I need your help. I've been snowboarding the same board for 20+ years (I'm 41 now) and I think it's time to buy a new snowboard. I tried to watch reviews, read articles, etc but holy moly have snowboards become complicated. It's like the reviewers are intentionally using made up words just to confuse me. (Is there a snow-boarding lingo for dummies book?). 

Well, I've managed to narrow it down that I want a **directional carving board** as I don't ride switch and I don't do parks any more. Too many injuries. 

I live in California, I can comfortably ride black diamonds, double blacks are doable just not enjoyed as much. I'm 6' + 200lbs. My current (ancient) board is a Burton Balance. 

I was thinking about the **Korua Shapes Cafe Racer** or the **Bataleon Cruiser**? 

Any help or suggestions are appreciated. I listened to reviews about these and other cruise/carve boards and the nuanced details are just lost on me.

Need help picking a snowboard - I don't understand 95% of what's being said in reviews!

 Definitely better options out there for a beginner that will make learning much more fun and if you're somebody who's a freestyle park rider there's way better boards for just that.  So I'm testing me Jones Stratus 159. I am not sponsored or getting paid for any of these on any

 brand. I would say this board is great for groomers to back country, side country. Could be like an

 everyday resort board for the right rider. Definitely great in the trees. This board has

 extremely good edge holds and performs super well. Quick turning but also big sweeping cars,

 a lot of fun. This board is super damp. You don't have a lot of noise on your feet, no chatter.

 Cruise right through some of those soft bumps, no problem. Just absorbs them all. In terms of

 speed, this is one of the fastest boards I've been on. I'd say it compares to a bird in custom

 actions. It's also very stiff and this thing just bombs. Like I'm flying down the hill so fast,

 pick up speed insanely quick too. So like if you're going on a cat track, you just start passing

 people because it just once it picks up it just goes. The board's around a seven or eight stiffness

 so you can really dig into those turns. You feel super stable. IC conditions it does all right.

 Carving it's okay but if you need to take a really sharp turn it can get a little loose.

 This board has a ton of pop so it's got the rocker, camber rocker at the bottom. So it's got a ton of

 pop in the middle where the little bindings about. This thing is really nice for doing big sided,

 digging in the jump line really wherever. It's super fun. While you can ride it switch,

 it's not as great as riding it. It's normal direction since it's set back about two centimeters.

 It also has a tapered nose. It's a little bit wider. The tail is a little bit shorter but

 I've actually, I was doing some switch riding and it's really not bad. It just depends on

 your stance. I would recommend this board to anyone who's looking to step it up. It wants a
