Jetboil MightyMo vs Stansport Outfitter Series 3-Burner

It works well, it's just kind of heavy. Especially when there are $20 dollar ones, much lighter that apparently do the exact same thing. Still, it boils insanely quickly. Like seriously it was less than a minute before two cups of water I was heating got scalding hot

This grill is pretty hefty feeling, so hopefully it lasts. Why it got two stars: One of the tabs on the lid that the side wind guard hooks in to is welded so far out of alignment that it cannot work at all. So the lid can only be held up by one side and the other burner is not protected and not able to keep as much heat in. Three out of four of the riveted hinges on the side wind guards are loose and quite wobbly right out of the box

The stove has a lot about it I like. This would be a great stove for backpacking. It’s lightweight. It folds up into a very small package, making it easy to pack and store

First the good news: arrived promptly, a day earlier than promised, quick and easy set-up, piezo igniter easy to operate, flame adjusts from very low simmer to hot-hot-hot and everything in between so I think functionality is above average, but I still have to take two stars off. 1. The item pictured here is either not the 21250 Outfitter or the picture is outdated; and it isn’t just a cosmetic difference. The one I received is black with blue top/windscreens (I double checked and the box is labeled with the 21250 model number) which isn’t too big of a deal, but it has only a single latch not the double latch pictured and I really wanted one with two latches as I feel it to be more secure (at least it is a metal latch and not plastic), the “feet” on the one I received are relatively shallow molded nubs on the underside of the stove not the taller screw on feet pictured, that has both pros and cons: you don’t have to sit and screw on 4 feet and fewer parts is fewer parts to get lost and have to replace, but there’s a lot less clearance under the stove and you can’t use those molded in nubs to level it the way you can with screw on feet

Love the size and ease to pack when hunting or backpacking. I've had mine for a little over 3 years and I use more often when hunting than I do my Coleman 2-burner camp stove. Sadly this year the igniter stopped lighting so I have to have a lighter or matches handy. Other than that I still use and prefer over my stove, especially when back packing obviously!!

Even without three burners, the Stansport Outfitter Series 3-Burner would be a review team favorite. The snug windscreen improves on a design that has proved somewhat fickle with other stoves. It sets up easily, boils water fast, and has two 25,000 BTU burners and a third burner with 10,000 BTUs in the middle. All three burners simmered well, and this stove was among the fastest in our water boiling test

I love the compact nature of this product. I used a different Jetboil product that is an integrated unit that combines the burner with an integrated heating container and I love it. However, I needed to place a pan for cooking on the burner and needed a little more stability than the burner on the integrated unit. This one did the job and it is ridiculously compact and folds up to be even more compact

The size of the stove is good, allowing for multiple pots (as long as they're small) Overall impression is good. But they really need to do some work on the ignitor system. I would recommend this product with that caveat.
