Bottom line: The price is great for what you get. You can spend a few more bucks for lighter stoves that perform better in windy conditions, or you can keep that extra money for something else

Saw some videos online and thought this was the best one out of all the similar ones. I haven’t personally done any comparison testing myself, but this one is a keeper for me! Might not be the lightest or the cheapest, but reviews say that it is the most fuel efficient. The igniter definitely helps and I don’t have anything to complain about my first pocket stove!

Both stoves have good flame regulating and solid builds. For me, the efficient boil in breezy camps with a piezo starter still make this a keeper but minus a star for the separate setup supports.

Also it is very quiet. Packs away with one small fuel canister in a Stanley Adventure Cook Pot alright. Quick tip: pre warm the fuel canister before use with your body heat for best performance at lower temps.

It works well, it's just kind of heavy. Especially when there are $20 dollar ones, much lighter that apparently do the exact same thing. Still, it boils insanely quickly. Like seriously it was less than a minute before two cups of water I was heating got scalding hot

Loved it when it arrived, but the auto igniter broke after the fourth time using it. The spark fails to reach the tip of the coil so now it's a overpriced manual ignition stove. Other than that it would have been a five star rating, this thing can simmer like a champ and turn into a blowtorch to boil water in no time flat. I contacted the seller and they informed me it's a discontinued model and he was not able to help me

But I settled on the Soto because it seemed just a hair more versatile and here's why:

Love the size and ease to pack when hunting or backpacking. I've had mine for a little over 3 years and I use more often when hunting than I do my Coleman 2-burner camp stove. Sadly this year the igniter stopped lighting so I have to have a lighter or matches handy. Other than that I still use and prefer over my stove, especially when back packing obviously!!

I tested out my new Soto WindMaster Stove this past weekend in the Mountains and I am in LOVE. I used the stove mainly to heat water to make coffee, and hydrate meals for one person. It's lightweight, incredibly easy to use, and packs up beautifully inside my Snow peak titanium trek 700 mug.

I love the compact nature of this product. I used a different Jetboil product that is an integrated unit that combines the burner with an integrated heating container and I love it. However, I needed to place a pan for cooking on the burner and needed a little more stability than the burner on the integrated unit. This one did the job and it is ridiculously compact and folds up to be even more compact

Ultimately the biggest downside of the Windmaster: It is a "huge" stove. With the 4Flex it becomes a solid rectangular cube in regards to storage dimensions. Even without the 4Flex pot support, the Stormbreaker is the tallest stove I own (next to the MSR Pocket Rocket Deluxe and Kovea V1 which seem like clones) and it has the fairly wide (for a modern, non side burner) burner head (just like the MSR PRD and Kovea V1). It also means the pot sits a little higher than if it were to be on a Snow Peak Gigapower or other designs but it does it better than the MSR PRD and Kovea V1 which have even taller pot supports
