After looking around for a week or so, I kept seeing the Fibrox come up as the best value budget knife, and that the Swiss modern was the upgraded version with a better handle. I have upgraded their rating to 5 stars!I enjoy most of the knives I ordered, however the butcher knife was too heavy and the handle was quite uncomfortable. I contacted Imarku 5 days ago about a return and still have not heard from them. Apparently they DON'T honor their 30 return policy. Next knives will not be from Imarku

Overall it's a great knife so far, my only gripe is that the weight and texture (of the handle) feel very commercial. That's not the worst thing in the world but I like a little indulgence in my home use products.

My knuckles hit the board if the handle was positioned over the board at all. When I moved the knife handle off the board, it was still uncomfortable to use, as I had to tilt my wrist in an awkward position to cut with the end of the knife closest to the handle.

I'm pleased with the ease of this chief knife's blade cutting and dicing but the handle is all plastic feel, something that gives me the willies . The fit is okay, I've got a medium size woman's hand , seems to me the handle is overly large and i'll bet my sons might like this chef's knife more than myself

It most definitely gets the job done smoothly. If you're looking for something that's not crazy expensive but not dirt cheap material, I highly recommend it.

I recently bought a honing steel which might help keep the edge true even with the softer steel.
