This is hands-down the best wrist wrest I've ever used. 12+ hours a day on the computer and I haven't had any wrist pain since placing this rest on my desk. The height is perfect for my keyboard (a Cooler Master SK650) and the firmness of the gel keeps the pressure on the muscles of my hand, not the nerves.  My only complaint is that the fabric isn't adhered to the gel as well as I'd prefer, but that's minor

I've ordered a few ergonomic wrist supports lately, and this one was the most comfortable by far. It was the appropriate height for my keyboard. For reference, I use a basic Logitech keyboard. My job requires me to use the10-key on the far right and the tab/shift key on the far left

 I attached a poorly drawn picture to try to describe the position I type in in case it didn't make sense. To be fair, I looked around, and this is about the longest ergonomic wrist rest you can buy. I know I have had longer ones provided by past employers, but I have no clue where they got them, because they don't seem to exist anywhere.

If you're looking for a mechanical keyboard with an ergonomic design, you'll want to check out the Kinesis Freestyle Edge RGB. It has a split design that may take some getting used to, but you can arrange either half to the angle and distance you prefer on your desk. Both halves also have a comfortable, detachable wrist rest to help prevent wrist fatigue.

We purchased our unit with Chery MX Brown switches which provide a great all-around typing experience. However, you can also get this keyboard with linear Cherry MX Red or clicky Blue switches, if you prefer. While this keyboard excels in an office and productivity role, it also has several gaming-oriented features, including full RGB backlighting, macro-programmable keys, and dedicated customization software, and its latency is much lower than other ergonomic keyboards.

Unfortunately, the keycaps are ABS plastic, and although they have a matte coating that gives them a slightly more grip, most users are likely to find them less satisfying than PBT keycaps. Also, this keyboard doesn't have any incline settings despite its overall ergonomic focus, and you'll have to buy a Lift Kit separately to adjust the incline angle. Aside from these minor shortcomings, this is a great ergonomic option for anyone needing a mechanical keyboard versatile enough for productivity tasks and gaming.

When you spend a good portion of your day at a keyboard, you'll want something that offers comfort. The best ergonomic keyboard for programming that we've tested is the Kinesis Freestyle Edge RGB. It has a fully split design, so you can place the halves anywhere you like, as long as they're within the reach of its 20 inch connecting cable.

The split design helps the overall comfort as you can place the halves to encourage a more natural posture for your wrists. The Most BIZARRE Keyboard...

 Between the keyboard halves works but it is awkward to reach in between the keyboard halves over and over again. Maybe implement a Thinkpad-like finger mouse, so one can do some mousing without moving hands off the keyboard?  - The tilt kit is overpriced as two simple pieces of plastic, although it is well designed. If Kinesis is finding that most people are buying the tilt kit at the same time as keyboard, include the tilt kit and reduce the total price.

  - redesign the plastic key caps so that the secondary characters are more clearly visible and readable when keyboard lit. Currently, secondary characters are dark when keyboard is lit.  - add a 2nd B key to right side of keyboard so B can be typed with either hand. There is room for an extra B key on the right keyboard half

 Use half-height short-travel non-mechanical keys or even a mouse-click switch under the four thumb keys so that the thumb keys can be activated as rapidly as possible, with the least amount of travel. (Thumbs are strong but slow.) This is crucial for fast accurate typing if modifier keys like ctrl and Shift are to be activated by the thumbs. My most common error on the Kinesis keyboard is not pressing the thumb fast enough to ctrl or Shift another key

  I feel that four changes, in decreasing order of priority, would change this good keyboard into a great ergonomic keyboard:  1. Split the large space key of each keyboard half into two separate keys, giving four keys altogether that the thumbs could type.  It would also be better to place the split thumb keys along a short arc of the thumb so one thumb key is a little bit to the right and closer to the wrist pad on the left keyboard half, and similarly for the right keyboard half. (Just splitting the thumb key in half as it currently exists would not be as ergonomic
