5, it fit my Pixel Slate, it fit my Surface Pro 2017. I've gone through several upgrades and several generations of technology and the mStand fits a lot of stuff. But it doesn't fit everything, and almost none of it fits in portrait mode. But the worst part is the poor manufacturing

 On the other hand, this is a form-fitting nightmare.  It fit my BOOX Max2, it fit my iPad Pro 10.5, it fit my Pixel Slate, it fit my Surface Pro 2017. I've gone through several upgrades and several generations of technology and the mStand fits a lot of stuff

 But it doesn't fit everything, and almost none of it fits in portrait mode. But the worst part is the poor manufacturing. After my Surface Pro got scratched, and even the iPad suffered a couple visible lines along its aluminum housing, I just didn't want to use this one anymore. I didn't want to destroy my tablets

 However, the tablet version is awful. The plastic assembly to hold your tablet in place is paper-thin, and looks like something you'd receive as a consolation prize after losing a raffle. The thin plastic sticks look like some sort of novelty party favor.  However, the worst part is that the plastic isn't brushed/buffed/polished in any way, which means sharp corners galore

  If you just need a tablet stand, then this little guy should do the trick nicely; but if you're looking for something a little taller for use in conjunction with the Rain Design Macbook stand, I would recommend that you look for something else.

Bought this to go with companion swivel mStand laptop for a SurfaceBook. Holds my ipad and iPhone perfectly. Great for working from home.  I can now put both next to my iMac and (I hope) make the iMac an external monitor for video meetings

  At any rate an elegant way to raise up your iPad and/or iPhone to a variety of angles and free your hands to do other things.  Love Rain's products!

 Firstly, it's very sturdy. You can put a ton of weight on this thing and it will not bend or shake. It's designed to use with any kind of laptop as long as the depth of the laptop is less than about 11 inches. Whatever laptop you end up using, it's very stable thanks to the rigid form and wide base

 Now if you wanted to rest your palms here, you definitely can. As you can see, I'm resting my hands here and typing and there's not really a lot of flex. It's very, very comfortable. So you can definitely type like this if you would like to

The Ultimate Laptop Stand (Rain Design mStand Review)

  If you have an SPX, this thing is worth ordering from Amazon, if only due to the free return shipping if you don't like it.  EDIT: I tried using the SPX on the stand with it oriented in PORTRAIT ORIENTATION, albeit in its lowest height setting.  It worked pretty well and was pretty stable.  I suppose this news isn't revelatory to most readers, but if you have a SPX, this might be useful

Poor though the fit may be, it is usable.  As long as I keep the tablet clamp apparatus / cradle in a reclined state, my SPX doesn't seem to want to try to tip itself forward and faceplant itself onto my MX Keys- making such an acrobatic feat an expensive one.  I've tried bumping and shaking the Tablet Pro to see if my SPX will try to faceplant itself, but it stays put.  Lucky for me, I prefer the cradle reclined anyway, so I'm keeping this stand

Surface Pro X - Poor Fit - But Usable

 The top enclosure does not slide down enough to embrace and secure the iPad. And with the height fully extended, the iPad in landscape does not align with a MacBook on an mstand.  If they release an updated version or Apple enable portrait mode for sidecar then I would reconsider purchasing this. Until then I opted for the Kabcon (awaiting delivery)
