Honeywell HEV685W vs LEVOIT LV600HH

Wow, this unit is so much quieter than what it replaced. While we personally like the white noise, this unit is super quiet and I would recommend on that aspect if that's your thing. Humidity and controls. I will update the post after a full month of usage but so far this is putting out a ton of humidity and I estimate a full 3 gallons in under 24 hours which is great for our home's needs

As an experiment we used it for a tank full in another room all day with little interference from currents or people walking by with the warm mist. It was much more effective and consistent in this decent sized room and agreed with the hygrometer 90% of the time. However, when I walked by, opened the garage entry door (12 feet away) or did activity behind the unit (reading newspaper, sitting up and down, etc), it did the same inaccurate and fluctuating humidity detection causing the unit to not achieve the desired level. And as mentioned the unit can 360 direct mist, but the left front is where the humidistat is and that's not a good place to direct it

We spent a week coming up with products on amazon, but we never settled on any. On a whim, I purchased this one and got it next day (I'm a Prime member). I had stocked up on distilled water for this little guy prior to it arriving, so we could get it set up and running as soon as it came in. Opening the package I was impressed, the product was very well packaged and came with a buttload of instructions and filters for essential oils (which we wont use)

This unit can add humidity very quickly. The water capacity reservoirs are large enough where I only need to add water once or twice a week. Each reservoir comes with an inside grab handle, for quick transport. It is also super easy to replace the wick media, which I have once

The tank is pretty large and holds a good amount of water. Nitpick on the tank: even when it’s closed/sealed well and you pick it up, water tends to splash into the basin and sometimes surrounding the device. Made me nervous to place directly on my wood furniture (it’s on top of a waterproof mat now). All in all, I’m happy with my purchase, just wish the humidity reading was consistently accurate
