Cool concept, flawed software and integration, false advertisement

Without this mobility, the TV is extremely heavy therefore hard to transport. In terms of functionality and integration, the Samsung Smart software is designed for Samsung phones only. For example, you can't use your iPhone keyboard to enter text while using the AppleTV app (which is possible when you use an AppleTV box), so you still need to use the Samsung remote control and select letter by letter on the screen like in the old days, a show-stopper to me. Indeed, the iPhone Remote app won't control your AppleTV on the Samsung

It’s great the integrations are generally good. Sound is fantastic. I can turn it on from my phone or Alexa. But Alexa integrations could be expanded and better documented

Unique and actually useful

Now, on the main feature of the rotating screen. This works best with rooms/homes that need to prioritize and maximize available space. I think this works best in a bedroom or small living room setup where it can turn vertical to save space and act as a digital clock or even artwork or slideshow display and when you need it, it’ll rotate to widescreen for whatever you’re watching. I think this is the real use over any kind of social media app gimmicks

Great concept, deeply flawed execution

love the concept for the frame tv, and when it works, the art mode is incredible. it works maybe 50% of the time. the software is garbage unfortunately, samsung clearly hasn't invested in that aspect of it. both my tv and the smart things app are updated, but the interface is really buggy, so hard to tell if it's the tv's os or the app

The included remote is much less busy than the one that came with the previous model, omitting the seldom-used number pad and color buttons entirely. It’s a black rectagular wand covered in rubber buttons, with a prominent circular navigation pad. Power, Input, and Google Assistant buttons sit above the pad, along with a combination pinhole microphone and status light. Menu buttons and volume/channel rockers sit below the pad, with playback controls and dedicated service buttons for Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Netflix, Peacock, Tubi, and YouTube below them

Decent TV crippled by worthless remote

what could have been a good television is crippled by the horrible remote, which is further complicated by samsung's poorly conceived choice to us a rf remote instead of the common infrared which eliminates the opportunity to replace it with an aftermarket remote. the cursor jumps all over the place with a single push, continuously scrolling from left to right. it doesn't matter if you push the directional button once or hold it down. very disappointed with purchase
