If you want an impressive LED option that costs less, check out the Hisense 55U8G. Last years Hisense H9G if you can find one. You can get the 65" for under $1,000 or 55" for $750ish or so? Great for movies. The best HDR picture you can get under a grand.

There is some red ghosting sometimes but 95% of the time it's fine. It's got a much better picture than the U6G/U7G or X900H that people are mentioning. Don't know if you can find one by now though. Just keep in mind it's a Hisense so you would be trading off a great picture for possible reliability issues with them.

 If you don't know what eARC is, it basically lets your TV pass high quality audio to an external sound system over an HDMI connection. It's like eARC, just better. In terms of smart features, it's still running Android TV. Hisense said they're sticking with Android TV for now, so it's not going to get updated to Google TV, but it did get an update to Android 10

4. Let's break it down. The UAG is excellent for watching movies and HDR movies. It has a high contrast ratio, great local dimming, an excellent color gamut, and it gets super bright

 This is great if you're sensitive to backlight flicker. So, overall, the UAG is great to use as a PC monitor. You have to sit a good distance from the TV though, because the narrow viewing angles cause the image to look washed out from the sides if you sit too close. Before we get to our verdict, let's talk about the sound quality of the built-in speakers

Input lag in game mode was excellent at just over 15 milliseconds for both 1080p and 4K HDR. That's just a couple milliseconds more (worse) than least-laggy 2021 TVs from LG and Samsung, and four or so better than the TCL, if you're counting, but I doubt even the twitchiest of gamers would notice those differences.

Android TV operates very smoothly

 I was a little worried when I was in the home page for the Xbox but once I got in game everything really did look incredible. Hisense U8G Review - Best TV of 2021? - YouTube

Hisense uses Android TV for the U8G&rsquo;s interface, like the H8G and H9G before it. It&rsquo;s slightly clunkier than the Google TV interface used by the Sony A90J and the Chromecast With Google TV, but it&rsquo;s still just as functional and loaded with features. 

We test input lag using an HDFury Diva HDMI matrix(Opens in a new window), and with a 60Hz signal the U8G showed a lag of 7.9 milliseconds in the Game picture mode, well under the 20ms threshold we use to determine the best TVs for gaming. Be aware that using another picture mode, like Theater Day, bumps that number up to 102.6ms, so make sure you&rsquo;re in Game mode before you start playing

The included remote is much less busy than the one that came with the previous model, omitting the seldom-used number pad and color buttons entirely. It&rsquo;s a black rectagular wand covered in rubber buttons, with a prominent circular navigation pad. Power, Input, and Google Assistant buttons sit above the pad, along with a combination pinhole microphone and status light. Menu buttons and volume/channel rockers sit below the pad, with playback controls and dedicated service buttons for Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Netflix, Peacock, Tubi, and YouTube below them

Hisense 65U8G Review

 Weird. Then I was playing halo infinite and I started noticing this subtle flickering in the center of the screen. Then there were little artifacts randomly coming up and the screen started glitching out with lines and artifacts.  I was able to wirelessly mirror my android phone and tablet screen onto the hisense but there was noticeable lag and stuttering during video playback

  Positives: I really like the android TV interface. It's great and it runs really well. I like it better than the samsung interface. The sound is very good and loud for TV speakers

Disappointing.

 Never was able to get 120hz refresh rate to work using a PC like everyone else has reported (RTX 3080, HDMI 2.1 8K/4K 120hz cable), etc) as text get all fuzzy/distorted. Have to run it at 60hz. Had a number of times where it went black for a second then came back to normal
