UPDATED REVIEW (2020-11-02): My trainer recommended these to me. After about 10 sessions the black 40 pound band snapped despite no outer wear or damage. Since I could not return them or replace them via Amazon at that point I decided instead to write my original review (preserved below) describing the problem. Almost immediately after posting it I was contacted by a customer service representative who offered to replace the set at no additional cost

I’m a 5’5”, 160lb out of shape female. Was unsure which weight to pick as a couple of years ago I was very fit and did a lot of powerlifting, but many of the reviews here seemed to be happy with the 6-8lb vest. It's just easier to note, track and identify which band is going to be more resistance. NEGATIVE? Length. These are made for small spaces. Nevertheless there's tons of exercises one can do to stay fit!

I had never used one of these when I ran track/cross country in high school but I really regret it now! I might've actually placed in a race back then if I had just started with one of these. There's obviously no magic fix for running faster instantly, but I think with enough time and effort anyone will begin to see decent results with one of these packs.

I sure wish there were tighter versions, especially since they are so long that it's hard to get much stretch.
