I returned the XL I ordered because it didn't fit and bought the XXL. This jacket fit, but the sleeves were too long for me. I was willing to have it altered, but the color wasn't the red shown on the website, rather it was closer to orange. Really disappointed

 To get something that fits around my chest I have to buy a jacket with sleeves way too long. I don't mind spending $200 to have the sleeves altered, but I draw the line at the color issue. Maybe I will look for another brand. I sent an email to Helly Hansen about their fit and they really didn’t seem to care

 So if someone was wanting a really good Helly Hansen jacket but potentially didn't need

 all of the technical features of the higher end stuff, what should they be looking at?

 So globally our best selling jacket is the Alpha 3.0 jacket. As you can see it's a very

 traditional sporty look ski jacket. It retails in the UK at £440 and it features all the

 features that we can chuck in a ski jacket. So you've got the four-way stretch face fabric,

 the pro-grade membrane, our patented H2 flow venting system to help cool you down when

 you get a bit too sweaty and then all the features you'd expect, snow skirt, stash pockets,

 removable hood. What's the waterproof rating? It would be a minimum of 20-20 or 20,000mm.

 And it's got the life pocket I noticed which is one of my favourite features of a Helly

 Hansen product. It just really good. It keeps your phone warm and keeps the battery life.

 So for someone that wants to take photos all day, very very helpful. And then we have a

 little added safety feature on the hood as well so you can fold it down with a nice high

 vis brim to make yourself more visible, particularly in a white out. So in theory no-one will ski

 into the back of you. So if someone wanted to get their hands on one of these for next

 winter, where should they be looking? Lots of independent stores will have this but also

 It's graphite blue. It's so hard to find a jacket that's cool and dark but isn't black. So graphite blue and I love the fluorescent accents on the zipper and, of course, in the hood. But there's something to that
