This method takes extra time and dedication to make coffee. It’s basically the best option there is at this time. I like the glass material and silicone base because they are safe. The only plastic is in the tab, which I wish it was not plastic

 In order to truly do this brewer justice, I added a top end conical grinder to give a more rounded flavor profile to the beans. Add to that a Hario insulated carafe and my set up was complete. Let the experimentation begin.

 It yields more developed flavors and slightly greater mouthfeel, yet it's still very clean like I got just by doing a standard V60 bloom and drip. Today I tried a new Ethiopian Geisha and so far this is my favorite. It held all the different flavors and sweetness without any acidity and for this roast, I couldn't ask for a better way of making a better cup of coffee. While I still prefer a shot of espresso or a cortado, the clean, light flavors that I now get using the Switch is impressive and very worthy

 However as much as I liked the taste, I hated how difficult it was to clean the grinds out of a French Press. Also I grew a bit concerned with reports that coffee oils might have negative health effects. So then I switched to an aeropress. That gave me the immersed flavor I liked, and was easier to clean, though the amount of coffee it makes is just a little bit too small, and as anyone who has used one can attest, requires a bit of manual labor to get the plunger down

That literally fits in your pocket, and i guess designed for sort of camping scenarios or when you want to brew coffee on the road and you don't have to take a whole lot of gear with you. So it's pretty light. It comes in this little pouch and it's quite a clever design

 You'Ve got three little panels here, made of a powder coated, stainless steel, and you can also fit in a folded filter paper in the case rather than a collapsible brewer or something that's already assembled. You just have to slot it together to make the brewing cone that will hold your filter paper. What'S quite nice with the origami is you've got these little grooves on the bottom. So if you're brewing on a slightly unleveled surface, it's not going to slide off thanks to the little design feature of these grooves

 So it's pretty light. It comes in this little pouch and it's quite a clever design. MiiR Pourigami: The World's Smallest Travel Brewer?

Durable and folds into a small package, but sort of ridiculously heavy for camping. Nice that it isn't some toxic plastic, but seems it could be thinner metal. Certainly not something you'd add to your backpacking gear.

 We also want to make sure that we don't pour too high up on the sides of the filter, because you can cause some some structural weakness there during the brew. We'Re gon na try to keep our water level below the top of this brewer, not up to the top of the filter, because it's really easy for this to fall over and then your slurry dumps everywhere. So, let's dump our rinse water, i'm gon na. Add our 20 grams of medium, coarse, ground, coffee and a big tip that i like to give here for this brewery is to create a small divot at the center of the grounds

 Let'S talk a little bit more about the characteristics of this brewer. The porigami was designed to be a really great brewer on the go, and it does it very very well. This thing kicks ass, one of the biggest things is just how durable it is whenever i'm traveling and i decide to bring coffee beer with me, i'm really worried about breaking it because most of it is either made of glass or ceramic very delicate materials. This is not at all an issue with the porigano
