I use the settings below and it's so good I don't feel like experimenting anymore. No time for that. In my opinion, it surpasses the Aeropress, too, with a much easier cleanup, less complicated brew process, and better taste

Looks like cheap metal and coatings are the culprit, leaving me to wonder about replacing this $50+ drip kettle. I still love Hario, but take my advice and don't let your love burn too hot.

Sorry if you don't live near an Asian neighborhood. I already have a Zojirushi water boiler to keep my water at either 195 or 208 F. 195F for darker roasts and fine grinds (Japanese style) or 208F for American style since the the pour over pot will cool down the water.

Very nice Kettle, appears to be well-made, and the pouring control is the star of the show here. The pour-over coffee lovers will be hard-pressed to find a better spout, and I would have never believed there would be a difference in the taste between pouring water over the top of the grounds in the Chemex versus a slow, sustained and gentle pour-over, but there is.
