 Over $500 on camera and accessories just so this thing can be more of a burden than a camera.  If you can stay away from this camera, i'd recommend doing so. If it helps any, i'm someone who is used to having an iPhone, which i find simple to use.

 Of course, if you don't already know this, recording on your GoPro in better qualities at better frame rates will also help drain the batteries fast. Why does this happen? I have no freaking idea and it pisses me off. I've read nightmarish reviews about the GoPro's and their batteries but wanted to find out for myself. According to some reviewers, they recommend that you remove the battery from the GoPro after use because it will overheat the camera and also harm the Micro SD card that is in the same slot as the battery! That's insane and uncalled for

  It takes NO TIME at all to drain these. Just using your GoPro to flip through settings, look at pics, or have On while using the app to download pics or use a a remote, will drain it at an amazingly fast rate. Of course, if you don't already know this, recording on your GoPro in better qualities at better frame rates will also help drain the batteries fast. Why does this happen? I have no freaking idea and it pisses me off

  It's really depressing that the GoPro brand cannot make a good battery, and also put a big price tag on their products.  I had a big vacation last month that i knew i was going to use the heck out of my GoPro Hero 6 on. I actually bought a spare battery that was on sale on Amazon for $16, then bought the GoPro brand Battery Charger and spare battery ($50), giving me 3 total. I've got to say, what a pathetic battery these are

As you can see, the Hero 7 has more details, but also the colors are more saturated

Excellent image quality and stabilization, but some MAJOR camera flaws

 You need to wait until everything is displayed. I'm also not a fan of the wide/superview view. Yes, it is not only amazing but actually shocking how WIDE your field of view can get when you use wide or superwide and I can see how you definitely want something when you're in the right field and do action sports etc. However, when you just want to take a normal video of something, the wide/superview FOV distorts the pictures quite a lot that many things that should have straight lines are far from straight which means that if that is really a pain in the ass for you, you can only shoot in 2

 The battery life is also not the best and I'd recommend another battery. What I personally don't like is how slow the thing is from pressing the on button to actually be able to record. That is surely a pain in the ass. You have to press the on button for like 5 seconds and then the screen turns on, the camera is booting, and if you then happen to press record, it won't do it until it displays everything correctly

7k because 4k only works with wide or superwide. The quality out of this little box of a camera is shocking. I'm not sure how you can have such an INCREDIBLE quality come out of such a small camera OMG!!! And the hypersmooth stabilization is also shocking. You surely don't need a gimbal because that is just from a different world

My biggest gripe, and it’s big, is the battery life. My first time taking it out I decided to leave my phone tripod at home to save weight. I ended up having to balance my phone against a dead go pro to capture my camping trip.

. Overall, those higher frame rates and higher resolutions definitely are the biggest improvement to this camera.. And For an action camera like this,, to me, it just makes sense to have higher frame rates and higher resolutions, because it's not a zoom lens
