 This monitor is not as well optimized as the pg279 qm, which does offer variable overdrive, and you can see that in a lower inverse ghosting rate for the asus option. But performance is generally similar to the alienware aw2721d and better than gigabytes fi 27q-x. Putting this all together, we have the cumulative deviation results which show how close the monitor is getting to the ideal response. Time ace's model here sits just inside the usual range of a modern ips monitor so again, motion performance is generally decent

 As for the contrast ratio, the panel i received was better than average posting a 1076 to 1 ratio good for an ips panel and better than all other 240hz ips monitors i've tested. However, contrast is still bad in general, as va monitors such as the samsung odyssey g7 can easily double that level of performance and deliver much deeper blacks. The xb273ugx is best suited to brighter environments, where you won't really notice this viewing angles are excellent from this panel. No issues to speak of there

 I particularly like the bit where there are two eyes in there. It'S very easy to say: naming aside, this display is destined for high-end gaming setups that want a fast high refresh rate 1440p panel for the latest and greatest games, while still giving plenty of headroom for future hardware upgrades around this sort of price point. I think 1440p. 240Hz plus gaming monitors are a very solid choice, so, hopefully, acer can deliver from a hardware perspective

Motion is extremely smooth when gaming at 120Hz and 60Hz, and the input lag remains low no matter the resolution you're gaming at. Although the Gigabyte M32U can still reach 4k @ 120Hz signals without issue, it still requires compression to do so, so if you want a monitor that doesn't need compression, the LG is a great choice. It has a smaller 27 inch screen, but it has an even higher pixel density for sharper images.

Thanks to the full HDMI 2.1 bandwidth and 144Hz panel, it displays any signal from the Xbox Series X up to 4k @ 120Hz, and it supports VRR to reduce screen tearing. Gaming feels responsive thanks to its low input lag, and you won't notice any motion blur behind fast-moving objects as it has a really quick response time at any refresh rate. It has good picture quality because it gets bright enough to fight glare, and it has great HDR peak brightness, so small highlights in games pop.

Sadly, even though it has a local dimming feature, it performs terribly because it's edge-lit and doesn't do much to improve the picture quality. It has an incredibly fast 144Hz refresh rate, and unlike most of the other monitors on this list, you can also overclock it to 160Hz over a DisplayPort connection. However, the max refresh rate is limited to 120Hz over HDMI.

 4K. 144Hz ips gaming monitor that we recommended for some time. This isn't the first monitor that lg has revised. They tend to do so on a yearly basis for some products like we saw with the 1440p 27gp 850, but to be clear, this is a revision

 It'S basically the same between the two generations of lg monitors and no different to the other 4k 144 hertz monitors that we've looked at there's a 5 watt difference between best and worst at a similar size, which is negligible for real world use. Next up, we have color performance. The 27 gp 950, like previous lg nano ips monitors, is a wide gamut display with near full coverage of the p3 gamut 98.4

 Using the fast mode performance holds up pretty well at high refresh rates 120 hertz and above, but when we get to 100hz and below overshoot starts to become more noticeable in practice and, in particular, at the lower part of the refresh range inverse. Ghosting is visible in ufo tests and, while gaming, we also see a falloff in cumulative deviation in response to this rise in overshoot moving from 500ish to the low 700 range. Meanwhile, the other viable option for variable refresh gaming is the normal mode. This mode is slower

 Behavior to other 4k 144hz monitors an effectively identical to the eve spectrum as 60 hertz. It falls behind the pack a bit, but benefits from no concerns around inverse.  I'd say for most, the M28U is good enough for such a value at $600. For me, I'm going to give it a week or so but I'm highly leaning towards the LG personally because it just doesn't have all the little things that bothers me.

 I also dislike the fonts on the M28U and it has issues of fonts/upscaling ie: just opening My documents as example, the fonts are not as sharp and just weird looking. The LG 27GP950 out the box looks amazing and does not have any of the issues I have with the M28U! The final question.. Is it worth the 300$ difference over the Gigabyte M28U

Gigabyte M28U is start selling on Newegg now, with 599 USD price tag. ( 28" 4K 144hz )

 Time. They also removed automatic input switching from last year's model for no good reason.  Both of these featured *sort* of worked on the older 27GN950 after a bunch of firmware updates. This "improved" model has regressed in both of those areas to the point where it's less reliable than my $300 Dell junker

A great panel with crippling software flaws

It's not a matter of taste, but rather of usability, since I'm really worried about the Warping and the sides of the Monitor looking Disproportionate to the content at the center of the Screen.

 Read quite a few review indicate that 27 4K is too small need windows scaling. quite a few reviewer against windows scaling. Fact : 27 4K 100% scale is hard to read. despite bad review on window scale

Color accuracy.. sharp... Meh on Local Dimming

 It is just not so frequent.  The monitor mount is not in good design too. I order two of these monitors. The one I post here actually can't reach the same height as another one I bought
