 So let's check the back of the box. So the back of the box features the WindForce cooling system that we were talking about and this is pretty cool because it has three fans and they spin in alternating directions and this helps keep the graphics card cool even during a high intensity 8K gaming. The card also features RGB Fusion 2.0 lighting for the true gamers at heart and a protective metal backplate to keep the integrity of this card intact

 So this card features RGB Fusion 2.0 lighting and the WindForce cooling system. So let's check the back of the box. Gigabyte RTX 3090 eagle

 The max power limit can be calculated by knowing the maximum power limit percentage when overclocking as well. Here you can see the Asus Strix is on top and it's clear now why they have gone with that VRM design as they're allowing the Strix to consume up to 390 watts stock and allowing up to an insane 480 watt with the slider's max to the right. This I really like. I think cards like these are an overclocker's dream as new cards are so limited by their power limits so this might actually be able to really outdo the other cards by a big margin when overclocked as the other cards are just way more limited in power

 Zotac and Palette are equal with 700A of max current rating using 1450A and Omega DRMOS. Then there's the MSI Gaming X. I really had to question myself if I am missing something here but it does seem like apparently MSI has the weakest RTX 3090 VRM here at almost half of the founders and the kicker here is that the RTX 3080 Gaming X is actually more powerful for some reason. So the RTX 3080 Gaming X is using 13 phases of 50A power stages which total 650A but this 3090 is using 14 phases of 45A power stages which total 630A so it is quite confusing to me why are they doing this

 So I can't help but feel like it's just a bit of a wasted opportunity with Nvidia only allowing 400 watts on the maximum power limit when it can really go a lot more but I have to think it's limited by the dual 8 pin power input from the 12 pin and also from the cooler which is not the best cooler for the 3090. The ZOTAC Trinity then is almost at last at seventh place but at least it isn't dead last like the RTX 3080 Trinity. I rate this higher this time since it uses a better PCB design that has some more capacitors than the RTX 3080 version but it still has a VRM setup with a 14 phase alpha and omega A0Z5311 NQI 50m DRMOS totaling 700 amps just like the Gigabyte. So it's nothing special and especially with the cheaper SP caps on the back of the GPU than what Gigabyte is using the cost cutting measures are still quite visible on this model which isn't great for such an expensive graphics card

 In this video I'll be comparing the models that I can find reviews of which are the Nvidia Founder's Edition, Asus Strix, Asus TUF Gaming, MSI Gaming X Trio, Gigabyte Gaming, Gigabyte Eagle, Palette Gaming Pro and the Zotac Trinity. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any EVGA reviews yet again even though I'm sure a lot of you guys are interested in the EVGA cards as well. The first chart here is a VRM power design which I gathered by looking at the PCB shots and looking up the model numbers online, which admittedly some were done by TechPowerUp on the ones they reviewed but I think their Zotac one was a mistake saying it's 13 phase when it's actually 14 phase and the MSI is using a weaker power stage than the ones they were mentioning in the review. Well as you can see here the Nvidia Founder's Edition tops the chart with its apparently 16 phases of 7 EM monolithic power systems DRMOS setup which is pretty ridiculous to see all the other GPUs being outclassed in this regard as you can see even the Asus Strix is still below at 1080A of max current rating using 18 phases of 60A Texas Instruments DRMOS

Which RTX 3090 to BUY and AVOID! Ft. Nvidia, Asus Gigabyte, MSI, Palit, Zotac

So just getting your hands on one of these is tough enough. Obviously the good thing is that the unit is quiet, but all these 3090 cards are quite power hungry. When comparing it to EVGA the performance is slightly worse. Overall it is a 3090 so that’s good but in an ideal world I would likely go with an EVGA or Strix

 By extension, this means that the cooling assembly need not be as elaborate, so we have the same design language, but the dual sided fan arrangement gives away to a more conventional dual axial fan setup. It's also a much much smaller card than the 3080. In fact, let's take a look at a three-way comparison between 3070, 2080, Ti, and 3080. Effectively, the more power hungry the card is, the bigger it gets, and 3070 is the smallest of the bunch with a form factor closer to the last gen 2070

 It's interesting to see that in raid faced applications, the Rtx 3070's relationship with Turing cards is a lot more stable than it is with rasterization, and I'd say puts it in a pretty good place overall, especially since basically all new Raid face titles coming with the multiplier effect of Dlss which can produce some remarkable results in all cases. By Battlefield 5, 3080 still delivers way more performance anything up to 40 odd percent 3080. It really is a beast, which leads me on to the wrap up at 500.3070 is great value, but curiously, with 3080, you're getting extra performance pretty much in line with the extra money you're paying

 The Cuda core has been revamped, but regardless, thanks to the eight nanometer process, you're still getting more of them. In Rtx. 3070 clocks are a touch higher, but the 3070 has to get the job done with a lot less memory bandwidth at its disposal, plus a reduction of 40 watts in power. Now, let's look at how efficient the new card is

00. I'm not worried about running the highest graphics/frame rate etc. but I would like to play games like fallout 4 as well as try out new games in the PC gaming world comfortably without immediately needing to upgrade or putting tons of stress on the system.

The RTX 3070... Hype or Flop?

Ryzen 5 3600 DDR 4 16gb 3000mhz Msi gaming plus b450 mobo  Yeah I'm pretty sure there is some bottlenecking but so far I haven't really noticed, price was good although not quite exact, rtx 3070 at MSRP usually fetch for 499 or 550 but I got mine at $599, not totally unreasonable but I couldn't pass up the deal it was the best I was gonna get, try looking for an rtx 3070 for lower than $650 (if you're lucky) I dare you..
