Just ordered one with Gateron Brown switches. I wanted hot-swappable but for practicality, I won’t be switching out switches ever.

k8 just arrived and im already in love... first mechanical keyboard ever...

Perhaps unsurprisingly, both Cherry MX and Gateron browns came out at the bottom of the ranking by this measure. On top of that, some experiments I did with swapping in more tactile stems confirm that the brown switches also have relatively weak tactile leaf springs.

 Preferably I'd like something with a bit more heft to it since I find myself registering keystrokes I didn't mean to hit just by resting my fingers on the keys. TLDR; Gateron browns feel too light, want a more hefty tactile switch.

Hi - I'm getting a Keychron K8 hotswap, coming with Cherry brown's. If I want to swap those switches out, do the replacement switches have to also match an MX pin profile to fit on the board? Or are the underside of switches standardized and its only the stems that are different?

I have a Leopold 750R with Cherry MX Browns. Sometimes I hear a squeak in the spacebar when I type. Every other key feels fine. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it without having to desolder or dismantle the whole keyboard ?

 Nine Out of Ten Now Sound, for the most part, is clean and crisp. No major complaint from me, apart from the fact that it's not really noteworthy to begin with. Seven Out of Ten Now take a listen and enjoy. Do

 Additionally, unlike those switches, these have zero pre-travel which means the tactile bump is right at the top of the key press. However, despite the slightly lighter weighting, it's not as tactile as the Zelio switch, but it is more tactile compared to the Mx Clear, so this switch sits in between them, but they are closer to the Zelios than the Mx Clear. Overall, these have an amazing weighting. Now, I do still like the Mx Clears waiting, but these are a close second

 Now, the only thing I would change is the weighting. I would place heavier springs towards the bottom out to reduce bottoming out, which hopefully would also make the switches more comfortable in the long run. Overall, it performs very well in its stock config, and I can easily recommend this over both the Mx Clay and the Xelio Switch in terms of price to performance eight out of ten. In conclusion, these are consistently smooth and very predictable tactile switches

JWK Durock T1 switch review

.And so i pulled the trigger and i'm happy. i think this is the best board for a tactile switch. I had reds in them before and that was a nice experience but since i bottom out i hear the plate

 Either it is me or fact, but i feel these lighter than the kiwi which are the same 67 g force.  I also like the 5pin setup which is much steadier than a 3pin but i never have loosening issues with 3 vs 5 pin switches.  great switches and i would recommend anything durock, switches either linear or tactile(now) and def stabs.

 I really like these are they are smooth out of the box and a great color combo with my botonical keycaps. I think i might of done better if i had the 62g switch but these are not bad. T1 is amazing!

 Amazon charges .80 which is atrocious, in fact that's more than my favorite tactile switch, the Techsee Neopolitan Ice Cream switches. In my opinion those are superior to T1s due to the much nicer sound and rounder tactile bump making it easier to type at speed as compared to a T1. Neopolitans are also cheaper on CanonKeys than what Amazon has these for (

 If you are willing to spend this type of money, I personally reccommend the Neopolitans.

Decent Switches, Don't buy them from Amazon at this price point.

Picked up both these and the regular Durock T1 switches just to compare, and this version is a noticeable improvement. Great tactility and smoothness, but the price is where it kind of falls short. Once you start inching closer to the $1.00/switch range, it can be compared to other niche switches that do the same or better
