And really the main difference between the RT82 and the RT85 and the RT83 and 84, the connections in between, are some different materials, and then also the cartridge. This one, the RT82, comes with an aluminum platter, whereas the RT85 would have an acrylic one. And then the other main difference is the cartridge

 But I don't think that vinyl and analog purists will mind the manual nature of the RT82 or other reference turntables. Another great feature built into the RT82 and the other reference line turntables that I briefly mentioned earlier are the adjustable feet underneath. These reference turntables have three adjustable rubber vibration isolating feet down here so that you can get the turntable to absolute level to get the best playback from your turntable. So once you have everything set up and you have it going through a preamp and into your speakers or receiver or headphones, how does it sound? Incredibly pure

Attention to high fidelity audio without breaking the bank is something that should catch most audiophile's attention and are definitely worth a look. It’s definitely not overkill (it’s an entry level turntable) but I don’t think it’s the best you can do for the money. Also that Best Buy exclusive color is a crime against humanity.

I grabbed a Pro-Ject Essential III for $300 on Amazon. I was trying to decide between a U-Turn, Fluance RT82, & the E3. The biggest reason I got the E3 was it was available immediately. I LOVE it. I upgraded from the AT LP60, which I liked, but am super excited with the E3. Good luck with your decision.

Would y’all consider this a decent tt for someone new to all this or is it overkill for a beginner? Decided to just get my own tt

 My favorite is the OM Pro S, and it has great bass and amazing sound quality (the other two are great too). I bought the RT 82 as an upgrade for my vintage Technics SL 235, and I thought the OM 10 cartridge was a win-win for me. It has a cool design and looks. However, I am disappointed with the T 82 sound and the OM cartridge (probably I got a crappy one)

The Fluance RT 82 came with the OM 10 cartridge, which I was looking for too. I own a couple of cartridges; Ortofon Concorde MK2, OM Pro S, and Audio-Technica AT-VM95E. My favorite is the OM Pro S, and it has great bass and amazing sound quality (the other two are great too). I bought the RT 82 as an upgrade for my vintage Technics SL 235, and I thought the OM 10 cartridge was a win-win for me

 The sound quality of the bass is not match to my SL 235. I switched cartridges (and switched the pre-amps and used different pre-amps), and the sound quality of the RT 82 improved, but the sound of my SL 235 was still better. You will get a good sound with the RT-82 if you get a decent cartridge (OM Pro S, MK3, or better), and I still recommend the RT 82 if you need a good turntable.

 This is a very, very easy to operate, nice turntable. This one, although it does have its cover, the cover's not in spectacular condition, it does have wear marks on it as well as it looks like a rubber burn mark right here from I think it was a cord. It doesn't appear to be the cord that's on here and it did not have its original grounding cord so the way I deal with that on the Technics is they have what looks like a normal plug for like a power block and I wish I could show you but what I'll do is I'll just go to the thrift store and I'll buy a power block that looks like it'll fit and I just cut the block off of it and use the cord, it works perfect, obviously. So really, really good, the base is in spectacular condition

 The cartridge is a Technics, let's see here, P24, now that's not a super, super spectacular like fabulous $300 cartridge. Some of the times when you buy these, the record shops or the stereo shops would often encourage people to upgrade these. Every now and again you'll find one with a really, really, really nice cartridge on it. I've done that, I've found one that had a super nice cartridge and so I bought it just for the cartridge and I still have that cartridge to this day

 And then, if I have it playing, let's get it in here, I can hit the stop button and it will reject. Pretty good player, it has two speeds, 33-45, the pitch adjustment, so the speed adjustment is belt driven, the plate cover in here is the original Technics and it's actually really nice and pliable. It has a new belt on it, I've been using this one for about two weeks now, just listening to it as I've been down here working. It's a really, really good player, just like all the other Technics

Technics SL-BD22 Turntable Review and Operation - Really Good Player for The Price!

Here’s the thing, I’ve been using a mid-90s Belt-driven Technics SL-BD22 for like 6 years. For a turntable that cost me $80, it was better than passable. I had friends complimenting on how they thought it actually sounded really good.

 It's a semi-automatic turntable, belt-driven, and it's up in auction right now. This video is just to give you a quick demo and also to to show you the cosmetic condition of the item. This has a brand new dust cover just installed so it's nice and clear and free of cracks. The plinth is in nice condition

 And as you can see, the tone arm returns to its cradle. And we're just gonna also show you real quick that the automatic return feature is working correctly. And there you go. As you can see, it picks up and it returns after the record is done

Technics SL BD22 Semi Auto Turntable

 This is a late 80s, even early 90s turntable. I believe I had heard that this was the last non-DJ turntable that Technics sold, and it is a thing of beauty. It's not perfect, as you're gonna see, but it's very worthy of care, upgrading, maintenance, all that good stuff. But you are not gonna want to miss this

 Same stated technology as the SLB5. However, it is a much more effective implementation on this turntable. As you will see, this thing has rock steady speed consistency. And there is the name badge

I never thought I would say that because I never thought I'd have the opportunity to get my hands on Technics turntables, but I've just been coming across these crazy deals lately and I picked up an SLBD 22, which I think stands for Signature Line Belt Drive Model 22. This is a late 80s, even early 90s turntable. I believe I had heard that this was the last non-DJ turntable that Technics sold, and it is a thing of beauty
