 But I don't think that vinyl and analog purists will mind the manual nature of the RT82 or other reference turntables. Another great feature built into the RT82 and the other reference line turntables that I briefly mentioned earlier are the adjustable feet underneath. These reference turntables have three adjustable rubber vibration isolating feet down here so that you can get the turntable to absolute level to get the best playback from your turntable. So once you have everything set up and you have it going through a preamp and into your speakers or receiver or headphones, how does it sound? Incredibly pure

I grabbed a Pro-Ject Essential III for $300 on Amazon. I was trying to decide between a U-Turn, Fluance RT82, & the E3. The biggest reason I got the E3 was it was available immediately. I LOVE it. I upgraded from the AT LP60, which I liked, but am super excited with the E3. Good luck with your decision.

Would y’all consider this a decent tt for someone new to all this or is it overkill for a beginner? Decided to just get my own tt

Fluance RT82 Turntable Unboxing & Setup - YouTube

 My favorite is the OM Pro S, and it has great bass and amazing sound quality (the other two are great too). I bought the RT 82 as an upgrade for my vintage Technics SL 235, and I thought the OM 10 cartridge was a win-win for me. It has a cool design and looks. However, I am disappointed with the T 82 sound and the OM cartridge (probably I got a crappy one)

The Fluance RT 82 came with the OM 10 cartridge, which I was looking for too. I own a couple of cartridges; Ortofon Concorde MK2, OM Pro S, and Audio-Technica AT-VM95E. My favorite is the OM Pro S, and it has great bass and amazing sound quality (the other two are great too). I bought the RT 82 as an upgrade for my vintage Technics SL 235, and I thought the OM 10 cartridge was a win-win for me

 The sound quality of the bass is not match to my SL 235. I switched cartridges (and switched the pre-amps and used different pre-amps), and the sound quality of the RT 82 improved, but the sound of my SL 235 was still better. You will get a good sound with the RT-82 if you get a decent cartridge (OM Pro S, MK3, or better), and I still recommend the RT 82 if you need a good turntable.

 It has a cool design and looks. However, I am disappointed with the T 82 sound and the OM cartridge (probably I got a crappy one). The sound quality of the bass is not match to my SL 235. Still a very good deck but at the going price of $350 new, I'd opt for the Pioneer PLX-500 which has height adjustment; AT seems to have dropped that feature recently. A used AT120 (with the height adjustment) is said by the DJ community to be exactly the same as the PLX-500. However the PLX-500 does come in a cool white color, a pretty snazzy look.

Which should I get, cheaper sooner and save a little longer for the more expensive one ?

 Here we can see the anti-skating control. You can regulate it and also you can regulate the height of the tone arm. It's a great feature. Now let's have a look at the back of this turntable

 Talking about digital part of this turntable. Pioneer DJ PLX500 can be plugged in directly to your computer and you can digitize all your vinyl collection. Also the PLX500 is supplied with software called Rekordbox which allows you to play files on your computer and use the PLX500 as a scratch pad for them. To sum up this device is very impressive for this price

 Here you can see also a little light. Of course the pitch control is present on this device. You can use the pitch fader to change the speed of records playing for a percent up and down. It's a great feature

 I really like the design, how it looks. It's very minimalistic, black, very stylish I think and you also get a choice of two colors. You can get black one as you can see here and white one. This turntable is pretty heavy, the weight is around 11 kilograms

Pioneer DJ PLX 500, best turntable for your money

 And there are two boxes which are cables connected. There is one aux cable and there is one cable to connect to computer because it's direct dry and it can be connected to computer. The RCA cables are directly plugged in to the turntable so it is with the turntable. There is another box, it carries a power cable

 The slip mat is also decent but it's not grey but it does the purpose. The platen, surprisingly it's really sturdy and to be honest it's not that heavy as SL1200 but it is good, it's really sturdy and now you can hear it, it's really sturdy. And there are two boxes which are cables connected. There is one aux cable and there is one cable to connect to computer because it's direct dry and it can be connected to computer

 Fortify adapter looks really neat. It's also steel, unlike Hori Technica, they are providing steel, it's really good, it's really nice. It was the main thing, heads up. Pre-aligned cartridge, looks decent, let's see

 It's not metal but it's hard plastic, the quality is there. The downfall will be if you are a DJ, probably this is low but if you are listening to your music room or something, you are playing it in your music room, then this is good. It stops okay, starts okay but if you are not a DJ, this is good. And the pop-up light, this is one thing which I think they need a revision because this kind of doesn't look that strong but it's okay, we can adjust a little bit

Pioneer PLX 500 Turntable Unboxing Review

 As other customers, I noticed that the construction is not heavy duty, but it is not an expensive device, so what you pay is what you get. Besides the described issues you will get a very decent sound, I believe it is a good value for the money I paid. I am using an Ortofon 2M Bronze cartridge and I am not planning to use this turntable for scratching or as a DJ, just to listen music at home.

 I have no complaints with other issues, but is a fact that this turntable needs an improvement handling the vibration absorption. It looks gorgeous and I choose the black one because all the other components are black as well. As other customers, I noticed that the construction is not heavy duty, but it is not an expensive device, so what you pay is what you get. Besides the described issues you will get a very decent sound, I believe it is a good value for the money I paid

 I purchased this turntable because I want to record my old albums to digital media so that I can listen to them in my vehicles, this was supposed to easily connect to my computer and do just that. WRONG! I have to download an APP that wants my data to obtain the driver, which was never mentioned when I bought it, and would never have agreed to. I declined the membership on this website and contacted Pioneer customer service wanting a simple driver for my computer. I live in Texas so my designated service location is in California according to Pioneer, so I give them a call

I purchased this turntable because I want to record my old albums to digital media so that I can listen to them in my vehicles, this was supposed to easily connect to my computer and do just that. WRONG! I have to download an APP that wants my data to obtain the driver, which was never mentioned when I bought it, and would never have agreed to

 I declined the membership on this website and contacted Pioneer customer service wanting a simple driver for my computer. I live in Texas so my designated service location is in California according to Pioneer, so I give them a call. I never got past the person who answered the phone because she wanted my personal information before passing me on to a technician. I refused to give her my credit information and other data for a simple question, so I found that customer service was not an option
