FiiO Q5s vs SMSL SP200

I could maybe understand if this happened when it reached 10% battery life, that may be forgivable, but at 20-40% charge it should not disconnect from bluetooth. Original Review: Jokes aside when I use this amp I just feel good. The world is brighter, my mood shifts ever so gently into nirvana, and as I walk on water its evaporates into vapor clouds that lift me through transcendence of time and space. I am currently using the Q5s to power my Sennheisers and Moondrop Starfields

1MORE "Triple" driver "over-ear": What can I say, they sound okay enough but certainly not worth keeping(returning them) mostly because of the unusable comfort an hour in these puppies and it feels like my ear is gonna fall off or something. Bonus: Got a walkman a55 and Fiio M9, both cool and solid DAP's but Fiio stayed with me because it didn't have problems with album cover arts and has spotify. Also I love the volume wheel. Also upgraded to a SMSL SP200 and Topping E30 from Fiio k5+e17k, the upgrade was quite pointless since I could barely hear a difference and now I can't even confidently say if I actually could hear a difference or if it was just placebo

I figured I'd pick up the SP200 and an su8, and the amp side of things would be identical (i mean they're both thx amps, obviously they'd sound the same, right?) well I was wrong, very wrong, I noticed immediately upon connecting them that the SMSL sounded significantly inferior to the 788. At first I attributed this to dacs, as you can't bypass the 788's dac, so I was using it as a combo, vs the su8 into sp200. But after 3 days, and using the 788 as just a dac with the RCA out into the SP200, I can confirm this SMSL sp200 does indeed sound worse. I picked up the 887 as it released at the same time I was testing the SP200, and it was nearly identical in sound to the 788

The MagSafe is nice, but without the MagSafe iPhone case it comes off too easily. I’ve put it a couple of times in my pocket with it sliding off: using the extra magnet of the MagSafe case makes it stick much better and it doesn’t come off.

I’m no longer willing to gamble my hard-earned money on amps produced by that company no matter how highly rated, at least not until they fix their quality control issues. And as compared to the Monolith 887 by Monoprice, quite frankly I can’t tell a lick of difference in sound quality between the 887 and this amp. In fact, I much prefer the SP 200 because of its smaller form factor coupled with its integrated power supply. Yes, the Monolith does have three gain settings as opposed to the two in this unit which might make running IEMs an issue for some
