Good trebbles for footsteps are a plus with recessed bass. I need those vented aswell to prevent discomfort from pressure in the ear canals. After some digging i found that the fiio fh5/ fh7 seem to have a good soundstage imaging but i can’t find proper gaming reviews.

 It was not perfect, but the best so far. So I thought the more expensive one called fh5 must be even better, well, to me the fh3 sounded the best of all the earbuds I tried. Everyone’s hearing is different so you have to decide what sounds best to you. I Have not received any gift or payment for my review, just my honest opinion of what sounded the best for me but I will probably try a few more brands, just in case

I’m not an audio expert, in fact I have significant hearing loss from years in the military. So this is just me talking about my experience in trying to find ear buds that sound good to me. After having used regular earbuds for a many years and having a problem understanding the vocals, I thought there must be something else out there. That’s when I came across a type of earbud, new to me, called IEM

I say as someone who use ER4SR as my main IEM now and have tried FIIO FH5, Final Audio E5000, Pinnacle P1: I've no experience with Campfire products but I think you are paying more for looks and all with Campfire as the only one I see constantly mentioned is the Andromedas. It's pretty hard to find IEMS better than Etymotic ER and some Moondrops even if you spend thousands.

Looking for sub $300 IEM

 I don’t know, you might disagree with me, but try listening to this song on a regular smartphone or regular DAP with no tuning with the IEMs themselves. These two songs should sound calm almost and comfortable to listen to..

Fantastically well built and thought out design of an IEM for sure... but Treble sounds harsh.

If you prefer in-ear monitors (IEMs), check out the MOONDROP KATO. While their mid-range isn't as flat as that of the Sony MDR-7506, the MOONDROP have a more portable design. Thanks to their in-ear design, they leak significantly less sound and can block out more mid-range sound like ambient chatter. Their build quality feels great, and their interchangeable design allows you to adjust them to suit your tastes. Their audio cable is detachable, and they come with two different pairs of nozzles that can slightly adjust their audio reproduction. Using the spring ear tips and steel nozzles, they have a fairly neutral sound profile that ensures vocals sound detailed and clear. Unfortunately, you may find their design a bit heavy since the earbud casing is made from stainless steel.

Go for the Sony if you prefer over-ears with a more neutral sound profile. However, if you like the fit and feel of in-ears that feel better built, consider the MOONDROP instead.

 So the cato, i think in terms of technical performance, it's quite good. It'S got great definition, especially in the bass and the treble. I think the mid-range detail is is a little bit lacking um, that's the one thing. The one knock against it here like there's, just not a lot of room for the the mid-range and that micro contrast and the mid-range and vocals and stuff like that, not the strongest here um, but the base tightness, the the treble tightness and the sharpness

 You really get a sense for the texture and the quality and the nuances. In that part of the frequency response, if that's not what you care for well, you might not care about this, because this is a fairly lean sounding earphone again, especially in comparison to these here, but in terms of technical performance. I think that is where this thing is strongest and frankly, it's one of the strongest in that sense for pretty much any single dynamic driver, earphone that i've ever heard okay, so that is those two earphones. Let'S move on to the tangent hana 21 and where this thing is really quite exceptional in the technical performance is in that that head stage and imaging performance, it is really quite addicting here on hana the same as the old hana and here on the new hana

 That'S come with a moondrop earphone. This is actually just frankly, one of my favorite pack-in cables. It'S a it's a handsome. Looking cable like it looks nice

 This is a lean, neutral, sound signature. This is it makes it so that the mid-range is a lot easier to appreciate, but it does have. I would say a lack of body, especially in comparison to the other earphones here, i'm fairly light on bass. Frankly, the tangerine hana 2021

REVIEW! Moondrop KATO - Their BEST DYNAMIC yet

 Now these are the stock cable that came with the cardo, not the k, cable, the k cable comes with your pre-order unit, so unfortunately i don't have that. This is the cable that comes with the cardo itself. I would imagine that the k cable is going to be even better than this, but i'm not going to say that for certain, because i don't have that on hand. One thing about the k: cable: if you missed out on the pre-order of the caddo - and you still want the k - cable - don't worry, those will come on sale separately, a little bit after the full launch of the kado

 So yes, the premium accessories and the extra nozzle that you can switch around swap the soundstage around makes staccato just a better purchase and again overall. The super nozzle is an improvement over the kx6s, at least for me. So if you're looking to buy the kx6s or the kato, i would just bite the bullet and get the kato. It'S just the better product, overall, all right guys that is it for this video today

 I would still say that the kx6s feels a little bit tighter than the kado overall, still even with the silver nozzle, but very very minute again. I'M willing to bet that most people don't even notice that if i didn't mention it on to the mid-range again with the male vocals, it's going to have a little bit of warmth coming from the base giving it this kind of a meteor feel female vocals also Feel rather natural. Now it is going to be on the more relaxed side, the tame side, although not as tame as the kx6s. It does have a little bit more energy here in the cotto and you definitely feel a female, vocal presence that is slightly bit more forward and the vocal presence that are slightly more forward in general, and that's really the improvement over the original that i personally enjoy

THE BEST OF MOONDROP?! Moondrop Kato Review

 Could it use just a little bit more air and just a little bit more sparkle? Yes, but in my opinion it's not bad and i really do enjoy the kind of the laid back signature of the kato soundstage-wise. It'S not the widest iem out there, but it's not narrow either, and it's not compressed in it's it's about average, on width, where the kato really excels is in depth and layering and in imaging - and that is where the technicalities of the cocktail really shine through. It does an exceptional job of telling you where everything is seated on stage very precise, very accurate. It pinpoints things very well

 I really enjoy the mids of the kato, especially with instruments of like from pianos to guitars and strings and brass instruments, really sound lifelike and then vocalists, whether it be a if a male or a female, they both sound, very alive and realistic. They have good note, weight and body and fullness to their voice. The treble of the moon drop kato is very smooth. It has a little bit of a laid back signature to it doesn't have the most energy and sparkle of an iem

 The cocktail has more fullness to it and bigger body and better tone and timbre. The iem that is very similar in sound is actually the c audio um and the um has very good tonal balance. Nakato also has very good tonal balance, but the difference is the kato, in my opinion, is more detailed and does a better job with resolution and also is more controlled in the bass and in the treble and then comparing it to the seven hertz timeless the seven Hertz timeless is uh talk about too close to call uh one or the other they're, both exceptional. Basically, they have very similar base and similar mid staccato is a little bit more full in that area and does have slightly better tone and timbre

 It reaches down deep. It extends well and has amazing details and resolution and extremely good tone and timbre. These things are exceptional now with that being said, since i'm not a bass head, and these make me feel like a bass head, they probably won't. Please a real bass head um they're, probably that most bass heads would probably listen to them

Moondrop Kato - Does the Kato TKO the 7hz Timeless? - Honest Audiophile Impressions

Hello people, so as the title says, I'm looking for an upgrade from my 1.5-year-old Blon BL03's. 

 Aria seems like a safe choice but concerned about fit and paint chipping, also, technicality isn't the best. Kato's are detailed and energetic, but lacking in bass and could be fatiguing (I don't know about the fit too). A4000's plastic build and size seem fine, the soundstage is constantly praised, but I'm not sure about the neutral tuning. My budget is max 200 euros (about 225 dollars), but rather go lower

 My budget is 200 euros, but that's really the upper limit and I'd rather go lower. My main drivers are my laptop paired with a Sound Blaster X G1 and my smartphone. I mainly listen to EDM, orchestra, jazz, rock, and pop. I love a balanced tuning, and definitely some bass but some sparkle is certainly welcome

It took me a while, but I finally got what I've missed. I listened to the KXXS again (which I thought had my favorite treble) and realized how bad it was compared to my KATO. I had covid a few days ago and couldn't listen to music for 2 days, and putting the KATO on again felt like a breath of fresh air, I heard lots of new things I hadn't before. And there I knew I lacked reflection, I realized I have gained so much experience in this hobby

For me, it sets itself apart from the rest of my collection in the laid-back nature of its presentation. Tuning is mid-focused but isn't bright or shouty, bass has good enough impact to be professional yet not comical, treble doesn't excel in any particular area but is so linear and even that it's clean (and I thought the hazy, uneven KXXS' treble was good). Details just lend themselves out to be heard and doesn't try hard, imaging is wide and spacious, timbre doesn't have the slightest hint of grain, and I would like to not think this is because it's a DD (I've heard worse timbre in a DD). There's a sense of order here in this listening experience, and I'd like to call that order "effortless"

Long-term KATO appreciation post

Save money - Moondrop Aria for $80 USD (First good safe experience, fits in most years)

Mid+ tier (a bit out of budget)- 7Hz Timeless ($220 USD) \[Great planar IEMs with great reviews, has surprised the market, some don't like planars though, people say its better than the Kato\]

Mid-tier - Moondrop Kato ($190 USD) \[Recommended if you want to stay in the budget, evolution of the Aria and a good IEM overall, cant go wrong with it\]

I've always worn over ear headphones because IEMs just fall out of my ears. I've tried dozens of pairs/styles over the years, but I haven't even attempted a new purchase for \~10 years.  
A lot has surely changed in the last decade. What are some IEM headphones that have a lot of options for different ear shapes?

\~$200CAD preferred. Mostly casual listening from a phone, since I will still use over ear at home for my more setup.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

I've been missing out on IEMs my whole life, need some recommendations!

 Im plugging the IEMs into my phone, and ive used the Sony WH-H910Ns (neutral headphones) and the Echo Buds Gen 1 (neutral with bass boost, IEMs). Hope this helps!

Moondrop get your FN cables together (the Aria cable is the best cable you've made) fix that and you could be the IEM kings lol

Silicone tips seem nice but are too small for me (large is smaller than a medium of other tips I use) foams are ok, I haven't bothered swapping nozzles yet as everyone seems to report they do different things

these are an upgrade to Aria/Starfields still bass light but has impact, better detail and separation, vocals seem a little female biased, some people said they find the highs a little sharp/fatiguing but I had no issues using these for hour + sessions

I was pretty excited to get these in today, when I tried them out, I noticed my right ear was drastically quieter.  Upon further investigation I found out that the silver filters have a tendency to not work cause of "ear humidity"?  So I thought "No big deal, I'll use the brass filters".  Problem is, they're painfully sibilant/treble heavy - all mid/low is all but lost.  For $200 I'm pretty damn disappointed
