I bumped the rating to 3 stars because the knife should have came sharp, or be sold as a blank or factory second. Why stand in front of a belt sander if not to sharpen the knife? You might me lucky and get the HAIR SPLITTER knife. Have a true sharpener ready to go though

I like this knife. i really like how thick the blade is and especially with 1095 carbon steel. It has the same steel as my USMC Ka-Bar but i'm not comparing this to the superior Ka-bar knife, but its a well made knife. This is an exceptionally well made survival military knife for 26

Great all-around knife! Decent price for a laminated Steel! Checkout lionsteel M4 from Italy. I consider this to be the best quality of all knives I've seen so far. It's made with m390 super steel! Which I consider one of the best super steals out there and the price is unbeatable. I own both and you can't go wrong with either one

Overall a decent knife for the price. Given the choice between this and the Ontario 499 survival knife I actually prefer the 499. Pros: Blade is exactly what I expected, very similar to the 499. Sheath is pretty good, though I'm not a fan of the vertical stripes on it - just don't see the point

The leather sheath that came with it is top quality leather and well made. Just go out and buy it, you will not be disappointed, its well worth the money

It isn’t, but no biggie as I can easily sharpen it. The sheath and build are good quality, which is more important because those can be harder to fix problems.

Good weight and fits in the hand perfectly. Its a full tang knife and the convex blade it hair splitting sharp. If your looking for a bushcraft knife, a whittling knife or a do it all handheld knife look no further than this excellent vg10 blade.

This feels Great in hand and the steel is a Solid mid range VG-10. Again I Know My Steels also. Solid Mid-Range is Great. Great story behind it also with the Swedish Air Force too! Not the big Monster everyone trips on

One of the two I bought had a defect where the handle was molded off center around the tang. The other was fine and I did Amazon exchange for exact same item, they sent me out another one the same day. The second one arrived with no issues. OKC isnt known for precision, fit, and finish

i beat on it all weekend long ( batoning, shaving, carving, and even small to medium chopping) and it passed every test at the campsite. holds its edge well as i have not needed to sharpen yet. the only complaint, and it doesnt bother me much at all, is that it does not stay in the sheath when opened and held upside down. the slightest of shakes and the blade fell out ( watch out for your toes if you try this test!), otherwise i love this little knife have recommended it to a few friends

The knife is nice. Paint scrapes off, so I had to grind it away; as in the picture. The knife is durable, to the extent I can use it like a hatchet. I do recommend grinding away the paint
