grips don't sit flush to the tang, Schrade's QA needs a little work. Looks to be a good knife but with a little more attention to detail (sharpness - fit and finish) it could be a great knife. 1 star off the the gaps in the grips, 1 star off for the very average edge on the blade.

I really wanted to like the 51m. Maybe this was a lemon maybe not. The spine was slightly bent. The grind was uneven. The scales were misaligned. The ferro rod was missing. The sheath (as usual) was okish. Really poor quality for what could have been a boss hog of a bushcrafting knife.

the tang is warped so bad that the micarda handle can not seat properly. huge air gaps between tang and handle. i'm afraid to use it because when the handle chips micarda shrapnel will take out an eye! didn't need another paper weight but i got one.

Have to say, I am more of a, chopper blade, guy. The normal size blade I have is around seven or more inches. They are good, but can be a bit much.but I have to say this is a work horse of a knife. Need to say though, it is a heavy knife.
