 I've always been a fan of the CT range whether it be a 3 or the 2, I've kind of played between the 2 and depending whether you want the 3 for more sort of like more off piste, more playing in the backcountry or you want the 2 which is going to give you more drive on the piste. This one's my pick of the bunch, Manor 2, really really good and Faction have done a cracking job with the graphics this season.  Looks super super smart, we got a chance to try them out, I'm absolutely loving the amount of pop you get off this ski and how really it's designed for someone that's looking for a free ride ski so not a full on sort of park ski but something free ride but has aspirations to get in the park and to play around and do some like big mountain kickers and off the side of the mountain and just having fun and it works so so well. I'll show you the profile of the ski so you can see there's a fair amount of camber underfoot but you've got your rocker on the tip here and actually what I notice most about the camber is that there's loads of loads of life in it and actually even just pushing it down in the shop here you can feel it actually compress quite hard and really pop back out so it's nice and nice and springy and that's what you want from this style of ski, you want to be able to you know hit kickers and stuff and know that you're going to get loads of pop and lift off the ski and yet it's got a nice side cut, it's a poplar wood core so it's nice and light, it's not too heavy and Faction have done a great job with this range. The Nordica Santa Ana 98 is the type of ski you could buy, throw in the rooftop box, and not have to worry about having enough space for the rest of your stuff. Instead of having to pack a ski for groomers and a ski for powder days, the Nordica provides you with an all-in-one option. The Santa Ana 98 performed particularly well in the crud, staying stiff enough to punch through anything the mountain threw at it. It also floats well in powder, feels stable at high speeds, can carve a mean arc, and pivots easily around a mogul field.
While we appreciated the reliability of this ski, we didn't experience any wow-factor and didn't feel a lot of rebound or responsiveness under our feet. That said, it took us everywhere we wanted to go at the resort and handled every snow condition, so there's something to be said for dependability. If you don't need something to excite you and want a single ski that can do everything well, the Santa Ana 98 is your match made in heaven.

 98 is a very happy medium, fantastic color weight, beautiful beautiful, looking ski nordica's nailed it again: um great ski [, Music, ], [, Music ]. You 

 Love really completes that turn really drives into the turn. I like that. A lot um 98 underfoot for norway, perfect yeah it'll, give you a little bit of float uh when there is some snow today we have hard pack - and this was this - is perfect. Um so again, don't be afraid to go a little bit longer in a ski

 It'S got like the metal sheets that i quite like, because it gives a lot of stability. It'S poppy, it's pivoty, it's fun, um fabulous, didn't feel too much at all on this uh groom. These groomed conditions here at northway we're getting really hard packed. So the edges were fantastic made

 Like this you're losing some of the ski in the tip and tail with that twin profile, it's nice transfer of energy, it's fun all around 98 is a fantastic width. The 165 length is really good for my um stature. I think i don't know if i'd go. Any longer jf, i don't think i'd go shorter

NORDICA SANTA ANA 98 | 2021 SKI TEST

 Rather than a high speed tool for strong skiers, this feels more suited to being an everyday ski for intermediates, but at a price point most skiers would be happy with. And that trickle-down graphic from the more freeride-focussed models does make for genuine good looks and rack appeal.

Nordica Santa Ana 88 2020-21

 I had the older, heavier, double-titanal-layer version of the Santa Ana 110 in a 177 cm and hadn’t really skied them before taking them out on vacation. I was hesitant to ski them since 177 cm was longer than my typical ski length but my hesitation disappeared after my first run down a chopped-up groomer. The skis dampened the chop and I absolutely flew down the mountain. I felt like a rockstar every time I skied them in heavy and deep chop
