 At 95mm underfoot, the Dictator 2.0X is a versatile off-piste performer that's more than capable in deep snow but you might want something a little wider if you're heading in the direction of Japanese powder. All in all, a really solid, if not particularly playful ski that will satisfy powerful, confident female skiers. Whilst it definitely requires a solid drive, if you like to be in the front then you'll be pleased with how the Dictator 2

0X is a classic freeride, flat tail ski that demands to be skied with power, commitment and grandes cojones (or the female equivalent). With two layers of Titanal surrounding a lightweight poplar/paulownia core, the Dictator 2.0X has been built with strength and stability in mind and delivers excellent edge hold if you fully commit to the carve.

 And you see it in the tail as well, you know, it's definitely thinner up at the top here of the tips and that nice gradually rounded shape. It performs exactly like it looks, really smooth, really easy to turn. And we do see the tail rocker as well, excuse me, you know, that's pretty long, a little bit lower than we see in the 106 and the 112, but still, you know, enough splay to make this thing playful and smeary in the soft snow while having enough of that effective edge to give it that more frontside and all-mountain personality that really increases the versatility of this ski in a 101. You know, to have this one perform with that all-mountain capability, but still have that free ride character, they do have to kind of, you know, pick and choose what they're going to do

 You know, more of the all-mountain shape combined with that freeride build and profile does make this stand out amongst a crowded field of, you know, about 100 millimeter underfoot skis. So this thing is built with a bamboo and poplar wood core, like the other Origin series skis. New for this year with all of the Origins is the VMT 1.0 core

 So, you know, almost a good upper third of the ski here when we decamber it, that rocker starts here. So this amount of the tip is rockered gradual at first and then a little bit more aggressive at the top. Definitely that's the free ride influence for this ski right here. You know, not a whole lot of dramatic taper, pretty rounded, you know, that's another aspect of this ski and the Origin series as a whole that makes it very attractive and very playful is just that really rounded shape

 So for skiers that don't want the 96 or the 106, you can get the 101. So they're just trying to split the difference there, kind of hit that 100 millimeter market. And this is a really nice addition. Definitely checks a lot of boxes for that all-mountain freeride skier
