EVOLVE STOKE First Look - How to choose an ELECTRIC SKATEBOARD in 2021

 From there it's going to be the range of the board that I've been getting based on how I ride and where I ride. I'm also going to be talking on the build quality of the board, and then just some general feedback from what it's been like to use day to day. Now when we look at the first point, which is going to be the speed, the current speed I'm able to get on the Stoke is roughly between 20 and 22 miles an hour. That's going to be based on roughly a 76 kilogram rider riding on predominantly flat surfaces

 Currently right now I'm sat somewhere between 7 and 8 miles, it doesn't sound like much but if you look at it in terms of percentage, the difference between 6 and 8, something that's definitely appreciated if you're going out on a slightly longer ride. Now when we look at the ride of the board, I've said this in my first impressions video, the Stoke rides completely differently to the GT-R range. Now of course it having a bamboo deck does mean that it is a little bit flexible, nowhere as flexible as the bamboo GT-R but it is definitely flexible, much more so than any of the other kind of shorter boards that I've ridden from other manufacturers like the Boosted Mini-X. But what that means is that the way that you ride the board and the kind of style of riding that you can get away with on the Stoke versus the GT-R range is completely different

 The deck does feature a slight contour, it's very similar to the GT-R bamboo but not as aggressive in my opinion and of course the back has the kicktail. But what that means, aside from obviously being able to tic-tac-toe the board, aside from obviously being able to do things like manuals, dropping off curbs, the general way that you can ride the board is a lot more dynamic, you can turn a lot more aggressively because of how hard you can carve, especially if you get your bushings set up right and because of the smaller wheelbase on the board and the cutouts at the bottom of the deck, you're able to be a lot more aggressive with your turning, with your carving and the biggest feature that I love about the Stoke is how nice it feels to slide the board. This is something that I've been working on over the last couple of weeks, I've finally got the 180 slide down and it's just a blast. But this is where the type of rider that I think the Stoke is going to benefit really comes into play

 When it comes to wheels, they're opting for a softer version of their Urethane. I have a demo board, so I'm still rocking the 80As. The production models of the Flex are going to be shipping out with 76A durometer wheels, and I just imagine going softer will just make for a more comfortable, smooth ride. If you don't go with the Riot and you go with the hub motors, I think that X-Way makes some of the best Urethane just in general

 Just got some scuffs and scratches on the motor mounts and it seemed to have held up pretty well. Belts look good even after off-roading and going down some curbs. In the future, just please try and be a little more realistic with your range and not just X-Way, but all electric skateboard companies out there. Give us a range of ranges for range

 The deck, the wheels, the trucks, the trucks. Yeah, I can't wait to beat this thing up even more. I'm going to definitely get it out on some more rides, but these were my first impressions. Let me know what you guys think of the X-Way Flex

 The looks of the board. This thing just looks great. It has a boosted look. Those of you looking for a boosted board alternative, especially now with boost being gone, I think the X-Way is probably going to be your best bet

In the end, when you pay less for an Exway board, you are really "saving" on customer service, on a lower quality standards board.Bought a Flex Riot, 1st week crazy notifications on the remote (firmware Issue, they fixed it, and messed up again with the latest firmware), sold it because I won't run on an unreliable software, (Exway users are saying, if it's not broken don't update.) I am sorry but I won't ride  on a board where Company software standards are as low as this.Sold it at almost half the price with 250Kms  (yeah chinaboards devaluate faster, you might want to think about that as well) a week after I sold it, one motor broke, the guy is still exchanging mails with Exway about their "warranty"
