Got my Exway Wave a few days ago. I've been riding it, but the jerkiness of the acceleration and braking on very inclined hills is really turning me off, especially when there's nothing to grab onto.

Best Wheels for Pavement and rough roads?

I put Cloudwheel 105s on my Exway Wave maybe 3 weeks ago and they've been great. Makes a world of difference on footpaths and bumpy surfaces in general, can't recommend them enough.

The zealot seems like a decent board for travel. Been taking it to all the resorts. Can't take it on airplanes though. You have to ship it. Almost want a board like this that I can plug a bunch of smaller lipos in and snap it closed. Then I could take the lipos out. And bring them on the flight.

The Exway wave have detachable batt packs, 1 of which is cabin approved <99wh. I think the Vestar mini also have a "aviation" model but batt isn't detachable. Wave's likely the best bet as you & the missus can both take 1 batt each. Them's about the few boards you can take on the plane.

Recommendations and Suggestions

The swappable drive trains of the Exway wave (hub and belt) was perfect for me, as I would've been able to equip a quieter setup if needed. I don't know if this is a common feature in boards, but let me know if any other companies do this.
