How many headphones do you actively use?

It's one of those IEMs that 'wow' that sounds like actual clean water. Something difficult to find in most price ranges today < $1000. Of course, I'm biased as a happy Etymotic ER4SR user. The journey to ER4SR included so many IEM testing including models like Shure SE846 that I'm a full Etymotic believer

Sony Mh755. Sound for $10 is unbelievable. Build quality not so much.

The KZ ZS10 Pro. I love mine and it's become my daily set of drivers, 10 of them to be specific.

Edit: While the silicone tips in the box are fine, the KZ Foam Tips sound and isolate better and are more comfortable and all for just a fiver

For those of you who don’t hesitate to shell out multiple hundreds of dollars on nice sets of IEMs, which ‘budget’ pair really surprised you with its sound and build quality ?

 Things sound more crisp and bright than they do bass-forward, but the Knife track proves that when bass exists, it isn't shied away from.

Orchestral tracks, like the opening scene in John Adams' The Gospel According to the Other Mary, get the treatment audiophiles seeking flat response dream of. The lows exist, but in a supporting role&mdash;the lower register instrumentation has some resonance and depth at times, but it is subtle. There's a fullness to it, but it's not nearly as prominent as the higher register brass, strings, and vocals and their high-mid and high frequency presence. This is a bright, exceptionally clear sound signature with natural richness to complement the highs

 Callahan's baritone vocals often get some added richness in the low-mids, but that isn't the case here&mdash;his voice is still rich, but not ridiculously so. The most obvious aspect of the ER4 SR's sound signature is clarity throughout the frequency range&mdash;everything is crystal clear, with contour and definition. Things sound more crisp and bright than they do bass-forward, but the Knife track proves that when bass exists, it isn't shied away from.

5mm connection, but ship with a sturdy 0.25-inch headphone jack adapter for use with studio and stereo gear.

Etymotic ER4 SR Review

 I remove and wash them the tips with soap and water when they get gross, don't do this if you use foam tips; when they're dirty, you throw them out. Very nicely balanced sound, and they seem to like my headphone amp. One star off because they're expensive, and another because of the harmonic distortion/bleed.

 The isolation is fantastic of course, provided you can find the right fit for your ears. I use the standard tri-flange tips myself. I remove and wash them the tips with soap and water when they get gross, don't do this if you use foam tips; when they're dirty, you throw them out. Very nicely balanced sound, and they seem to like my headphone amp

 Went with the studio reference version because I don't care for too much bass, and I can safely say there is a good amount here. The bass is present, clean, well-defined, and it's not so much that the sound is muddy. The isolation is fantastic of course, provided you can find the right fit for your ears. Perfect for my morning commutes via bus or train.

This is for discerning listeners. It's sound as real as it was recorded. If you like the thump and the hiss, these are not for you.

The Sony WI-XB400 EXTRA BASS Wireless are the best wireless earbuds with bass at a budget price point. As the name indicates, they have a strong bass-boosted sound profile that delivers a good amount of thump and rumble for their cost. The rest of the mix is well-balanced, meaning that vocals and instrumentals aren't overpowered by the bass. Unfortunately, their low price means they lack features like companion app support and an EQ.

Their battery provides around 19.5 hours of battery on a single charge, so you don't need to recharge during a 9-5 workday. They're well built for the price and have decent stability in-ear. There's no ANC, but they do a good job of passively isolating you from mid-range noise, like ambient conversations. However, they struggle to isolate you from low-bass noise, like the rumble of bus engines during a commute.

 It's minimalist, it's clean, it's simple. Anyway, it has a pretty simple layout in its design and really really a standard wireless bluetooth earphone kind of design. It has two earphones, obviously, and two pods that contain the internals of the device, the battery and the controls. On the left pod, you have the controls of the device, the charging port and a microphone for calls
