ESEE Knives ESEE-6HM Fixed Blade vs SOG Field Knife

Knife is great as are all esee knives the 6hm is my fourth esee I’ve added to the collection. The leather sheath however Was made poorly and started falling apart after a single overnight bushcraft trip, even left a Knick in my pants.

Now the knife. I bought this for self defense, if ever needed it'll do the job intended. It doesn't come very sharp and in my opinion doesn't sharpen very well. Handle feels nice in the hand for intended purpose

I took a chance on this because all my pocket knives couldn't take the abuse I gave them. This knife is crazy tough, I use it to baton, build fires, cut food and everything else a blade does. It holds an edge, very sure I've never owned any steel like this. The belt clip is perfect, just perfect

Had this Knife almost (1) year. Have not used it for any outdoor/ bush/ camping activities yet so can't rate on that. Just been sitting in my Diving Backpack and considering to use it in my Diving activities but don't know if the steel will hold up (won't rust). At 1st glance, the knife feels like it's a Young Boy's knife (still feel that way)
