Really heavy. The bindings and boots you picked are par for the course looking at double-duty gear, but those skis are heavy even for dedicated alpine use. Would recommend something more like a Head Kore or Elan Ripstick if you really want one setup for everything. Also, I'd go down a width or even two

I am planning to take the splunge and put together an alpine/touring set up from my trips to NH/VT as well as out west in UT/CO. I expect to hit 70% resorts and 30% backcountry areas. I currently have a beater pair of rossi sky 7s and looking for a bit of upgrade to get a much larger taste of the backcountry. How well do you think my below powder snow touring set up looks:

Elan Ripstick 96 2023 Ski Review

I personally have 2 setups, the same ski/binding as yours, and the Ripstick 96 with pin bindings for the less than optimal snow days. If you don't have a second set, the all around is better unless you are sure you will only go backcountry on the powder days. As for boots, go to a bootfitter, do NOT get boots that look good from online reviews just because of those reviews. The bootfitter will hear your needs, measure your foot, and that will give you the best boot

The new thing about this one is that they have made a carbon blade on the inside of the ski to make it more powerful and then it's a left and right ski so it's the amphibian model

 Thank you. All right, Johan, what do you think of the Elan Ripstick 96? I for sure think it's a good ski. What I really liked with it was even though I'm not really a race skier I found it quite easy to go from edge to edge so I found it quite playful when carving, however, it's a lot of technique talked about that they have applied in the ski which I'm quite curious to explore more with how they perform, for example, in off-piste. It's hard to have an opinion on all the features as it is right now but despite having it easy for me to get from edge to edge and carve I would say it's nothing that I feel is like is tickling within me when I ride it so I think it's a good ski for sure but honestly it's nothing that's a wow feeling when I did try it so it's just simply a good ski

 So anyone that's a strong advanced to pro level rider should be looking at the Nordica Enforcer 110 Free as their great powder slash all-mountain ski.

 They use thinner metal in their enforcer constructions and that leads to a more nimble nature of the ski while keeping the dampness top notch, very minimal vibrations on this one and just a pleasure to ski in a variety of snow conditions, obviously at 110 millimeter underfoot and with the extended tip and tail rocker we're going to see better performance in soft snow but one of the things that's always stood out to me about this ski is its ability to perform on firmer snow and groomers so it's a really well rounded 110. Great choice for that advanced expert skier who wants something on the more stiff and demanding end of the spectrum for a wide ski but still not overbearing. We do get some weight with this one here, this is the 185 and we're seeing a weight of 2323 grams on the scale so there is some heft behind it, there's a lot of mass and surface area as well but it does translate well to on snow performance, it never feels that heavy. Where we see a lot of the performance upgrades here is in the rocker extending or the shape extending beyond the rocker

One of the nice things they did graphically for us is give us a cheat sheet on the base so the start of the blue up top here is where the rocker starts and then the blue corner is where the side cut ends so that's the end of the taper and then we see that on the tip as well so rocker starts here side cut ends there so the side cut extends beyond the rocker that gives the ski a nice long effective edge and leads to its smoothness so it's a nice little graphic reminder from Nordica that they do something a little bit different than other ski companies and they do it on purpose and that reason really works. We do see that nice positive camber underfoot you know in this 185 we're talking about an 18

 With those two sheets of metal, it's also pretty strong. That's kind of what I meant when I said it's a well-rounded powder ski. You get playfulness and you get maneuverability, but you also get a ski that you can stand on.
