The weight is very well balanced and even though she’s only used cartridges before, she really noticed the difference between cartridge and safety razor blade. I believe the weight and far superior blade is what really made a big difference for her. The shave is smooth and oddly quick. Yes you will get nicks but find me an actual razor that doesn’t have that possibility

I no longer use Derby razor blades in any razor. I tried several brands from a sample pack and found that I get the best performance from Personna Med Prep blades in all three of my razors. Your mileage may vary and I encourage you to try several blades in whichever razor you ultimately buy.

The best feature of this razor, however, is that beefy handle and the fingerprint knurling made it very easy to grip, even when it was soapy. I liked it!!
