 The old ones I had were gray rubber...the newer ones are purple rubber and they're supposed to wear better

These are exceptionally good rug pads that I have used for years on my oriental rugs. Unfortunately, I have a brick floor and the rubber bottoms tend to wear out. The old ones I had were gray rubber.

 With this mat the rug does not budge! I didn't find it as plush as other reviewers and would love for it to be a bit more so to make the carpet more comfortable but it's not a big deal. Definitely would recommend. Maybe remeasure your rug and take advantage of the fee custom cutting to ensure exact sizing

 It doesn’t add anymore layer of comfort than my other much cheaper rug pad that also doesn’t slip and doesn’t even have any furniture on it.  The seller responded promptly to me and guaranteed that I would receive the pad shown in the listing. I contacted the seller again about preferred cutting size (fringe included) and the seller responded quickly and explained the process of using a carpenter knife or carpet blade w/a new razor to ensure a clean cut & recommended trimming the pad 1-2" shorter than the rug. The seller wrote, "If there is anything else that I can do for you please let me know." Customer service was excellent and shipping was fast

Product is great, keeps the rug in place and adds the perfect amount of cushion. However, it said 7x10 when I ordered and also on the box when it came in, but when I unrolled it the tube it was wrapped around said 8x10, and when I measured it was 8x13… so I had to cut it to fit. Not the end of the world, just annoying. Other than that I’m happy with the purchase

Pay close attention to sizing!
