Dunlop Jazz III vs Dunlop Tortex

I tried a bunch but I keep going back to the green Dunlop Tortex ones but I scratch them up with a knife for grip.

If someone was to ask me if these are good picks, my answer would be "it depends." It really does, in my opinion, it depends on what you're playing. From a rhythm standpoint, I don't like these at all - they take the warmth out of the chords because the point of the pick makes strummed chords sound too sterile to me. For lead work they are OK because you can really dig into each note and have it come through

Occasionally use 1.5mm for acoustic. Took me like 12 or so years of digging through pick bins at the shops to get there.

They sit in the fingers well and have never slipped through all the sets and sweat. They always seem to wear evenly and last a long time. Dunlop Tortex, what else is there to say?

When I was starting out, I kept dropping picks, couldn't stand the thin standard pick. The Jazz III has raised letters which act as a grip, the thickness made it easier to play for me and the sharp point helped attack the strings better or something.

These are great picks, but the purpose of my review is to clarify the size. The illustration in the product listing that shoes them as being 3cm tall is incorrect. They are 2.5cm tall

The shape is perfect, with both the sharp and rounded edges having their uses. The feel is great, with a soft mat finish that seems to grip your fingers so I very rarely drop a pick. I have NEVER had one rip, sometimes using a pick until the sharp end is worn to a nub. The material itself has just the right amount of 'snap' to it that just seems to liven up my playing
